Grill closed even though the resturant doesn’t close for another 3 hours. Went to sonic near by, highly recommend. No kids working there.

I have never written a Google review, let alone a bad one, yet I’ve also never had a worse experience than that at this Dairy Queen. I have had a gluten allergy for over 15 years, and am well versed in what I can and cannot eat, I also know I can have foods with chance of cross contamination. Every now and then, if I haven’t looked online at an allergen menu, I will ask staff in store, as I did tonight. The female manager in training informed the boy at the register that the blizzard I requested was not gluten free, and then proceeded to say nothing was gluten free at DQ. I have been to many DQ locations and have been accommodated by staff and guided through gluten free options, they even have offered to clean the blizzard machine for me to lessen the chance of cross contamination. Here, I clearly was not given the same common courtesy. Knowing that nothing being gluten free wasn’t the case, I looked up the gluten free menu on DQs website. I then ordered one of the items, after seeing the only allergens were milk and soy. The manager once again told the cashier I could not have it and since I already paid for it, and was sure it was fine after reading each ingredient, I asked for it anyway. Then another employee wrongfully informed me that nothing on the menu was gluten free. I asked about the ice cream itself, which typically anywhere is gluten free, and is advertised as gluten free by Dairy Queen, and once again was turned down. I decided I’d trust my own research and knowledge. As the manager in training was making my blizzard she joked to a coworker that she “hopes I have an allergic reaction.” As a customer, and especially as a former restaurant manager I was immediately disgusted. The audacity of her to make that comment is beyond outrageous, especially when you are so close to customers. To the Dairy Queen staff: you are clearly a lot less quiet than you think. People with allergies should be accommodated and treated kindly, not dismissed and wished to get sick. I’m also well aware that in New York State all food service establishments must be taught about allergens and cross contamination in guidelines with the board of health. It is clear that the staff at this Dairy Queen have failed to have been educated on what my allergen - gluten, is in itself, what products contain it, and most of all how to accommodate a customer with an allergy. I hope that this will serve to better the staff at this Dairy Queen, as I truly have enjoyed many other locations in the past. Do better.

Manager ‘in training’ and other staff were super disrespectful towards my girlfriend who has a gluten allergy, but is fine with cross contamination. Manager in training claimed that none of the Dairy Queen items were gluten free and said ‘let her have a reaction’ when my girlfriend said the specific blizzard treat she ordered had no glutenous ingredients on the Dairy Queen website and she had already paid for it. Staff then proceeded to slam the blizzard on the table (and did not flip it upside down). It is common decency to be reassuring and accommodating for allergies in the food industry so this was very disappointing.

Only DQ in the area that’s closed 1/2 the year. The area would be better served by a place that’s actually open.

This Dairy Queen does not have a grill. It does serve ice cream, but did discontinue many of the toppings. It was clean and has a lovely outdoor table you can sit on, if you like. The staff were very pleasant.

Not like the Dairy Queen I remembered from years ago. They didn't label our blizzards so we had no idea who's was who's and the blizzards were completely blended with the candy so you couldn't even taste any pieces of candy. Tasted like boring AF soft serve. Pointless. Close this crap hole down if you aren't going to take the time to make it right.

The orange Julius was not how I remembered as a kid but other than that good ice cream

We’re big DQ fans, but the Newburgh store is the best we’ve ever been to! The cake display was like a museum - they were gorgeous! The staff was quick and made the absolute best coffee shake float I’ve ever had. My husband’s root beer float had so much ice cream, the straw stood up! We live about 50 miles away, but I’d take the trip just for this DQ.

Made the mistake of ordering food here. The hot dog was like a 7/11 weiner. The soft serve tastes funny too.

Bought a chicken salad from DQ. When I finally got home to eat it I lost my appetite. The chicken wasn't cooked well done , and the chicken was raw and the lettuce was going bad! Will never buy from this place again! Better off going to Wendy for a chicken Caesar salad

The carmel ice cream sundae I got was delicious!
