Don't waste your money. The food at this place is horrible. The beans have no flavor because they are reheated in water several times until they lose their flavor, the roast meat tastes nothing, the chicharrón is just fat and very small, the fried eggs are hard and the chicken and tripe soup is water with salt without any flavor. In this place they have no idea what cooking is and it is one of the worst places in Newburgh. The worst Colombian food.

Came here for a first time and really loved it.I enjoyed my Lengua en Salsa, if was so freaking good. My boyfriend had a Bandeja Paisa, and he loved it as well.The beans, rice, plantains, steak, and chicharrón was perfectly cooked.We also had 2 beef empanadas, super flavorful.We will definitely come back. The food is so authentic and it's always what we look for to enjoy.Next time, I will bring some friends over.
Just had a chicken sandwich here and my co-workers got the steak and fries. Everything was 100% on point! We ate in so they served us pieces of Pandebono to start which were warm and delicious. Nice spot, it’s worth the stop if you’re in the area.
Authentic Colombian food right in the City of Newburgh. Came here with a friend and i got the Bandeja Paisa and he got the Grilled Chicken Plate with Rice and Plantains. My dish came with White rice, beans, plantain, egg, avocado. Grilled steak and fried pork belly. Its definitely a hearty and delicious breakfast that doesn’t disappoint. Dont forget the Colombiana!

The most amazing Colombian food I’ve ever had. Yes, better than in Colombia. Every where I eat, I always use Don Hugo’s as the benchmark to beat. The chicharron here is absolutely outstanding, it’s crispy on the outside but never over done, the inside is pillowy, and the skin is always crunchy. The carne asada always has so much flavor. I’ve never had anything like it. The rice is always cooked perfectly but the beans steal the show. The plantains are soft, sweet, and have the perfect amount of crisp. You can tell that Don Hugo is a master of his craft. The food never disappoints. I’ve brought countless people here and they’ve all loved the food. Don Hugo is so kind, warm, welcoming and just simply an amazing person. 10/10 would recommend. Make sure you bring cash.
