We go to Firebox multiple times per week. We are "Foodies" and have high standards for what we put in our bodies.Firebox is consistently delicious. It is cooked fresh at ALL hours (they cook small batches throughout the day, so you're always just in time for a hot plate). Our bodies feel good after eating here. They cook real food with real ingredients, and you can tell based on how you feel after. Their food gives me both strength and happiness. We will continue eating here and bring all of our friends & family here.Pro tip: buy a bottle of Pepper to bring home with you (Pepper picture attached)

I ordered the medium jerk chicken ($16) on doordash and was sent me a pile of overcooked back bones. I called the restaurant to express my disappointment and he told me come back tonight to replace, which I was not able to, and from there I was told “sorry” and that he was positive he gave me a “thigh with meat on it”. What does that mean? For $16 you get backbones and maybe some edible meat? Bones are traditional on jerk, yes - NOT like this. I’m clearly upset but I’m not exaggerating on this at all. Also the Mac was VERY greasy pasta with melted cheddar on it, the rice had no peas, and the beef patty had much ticker crust than filling.I was so excited for this based on the Google reviews but never again. Sending a customer a majority of chicken backbones isn’t an unconscious mistake.

The greatest takeout experience in Newburgh. Incredible jerk chicken and oxtail, and the most incredibly positive vibes. A late night lifesaver. Can’t recommend this highly enough. Tops.

i'm from Las Vegas & was looking for food at midnight. found this spot & the dude behind counter was amazing! i thought, even if food was mediocre, i would still give it a chance cuz customer service was beyond spectacular. he was by himself but took the time to answer my quest, made me feel like i was a VIP customer & so chill in his demeanor there was no way you cailin get upset at him! hard to find that nowadays. then i ate the food! let me tell you, it was soooo good! i can't wait to come back out here just to visit this spot again. if your looking for good food, genuine sincerity & people who actually luv what they cook, you will luv this place like i do!
