We’ve been coming here for the past 20 years at least. It’s easily the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been too. I just came back from a 2 week tour all over Italy and nothing, I mean nothing even came close to the food here. Save yourself a journey and just come to Newburgh for the best Italian food around. This place has always been spot on. The atmosphere hasn’t changed much at all over the years, but it’s nice, the service staff is very attentive and knowledgeable, and the food options are always wonderful. I tend to always get the Papardelle and it’s amazing without fail. I suggest you try the same.

Highly recommend IL Cena Colo for a private party or any dining experience. Tonight we had my boyfriends mothers 80th surprise birthday party. The food and service was amazing. we selected the $90 per person menu and were overwhelmed by the portions and quality of the food. We have dined here before tonight an always noticed how the owner Rita takes care of all her customers and is involved in ever aspect of her restaurant down to polishing glassware.

Waited 15 minutes past our reservation to be seated, and then, after getting us water and telling us about the specials, our waiter never came back - after a half hour we left money on the table for the Pellegrino and walked out

There is a new waiter that was rushing through the specials. He has an accent and I noticed he lost all tables when reciting the specials. When I asked him to repeat something he seemed aggravated. This is my favorite restaurant, and I know this would not be acceptable to the owners based on the professionalism of the other wait staff.

Not worth the price. Make sure you ask how much the specials are !!! Food and service were good but not 260.00 for 2 people good.we did not even have alcohol and the price was still this high. Never again.

OOMMGGG.. father's day dinner with my parents was just amazing! SOO glad we chose to go here. service, food, ambiance is INCREDIBLE. its a complete experience. BETTER than Arthur Ave in bronx, we had the lobster ravioli, the mushroom ravioli, and the lamb paparadele . Deserts too, 🫠 There's a ton of food that they consider specials that the waiter riddled off to us.It was more than the actual menu itself. Cannot wait to go back. It's worth every penny. They even have an outdoor patio area by the lake.

The fish I had was excellent. However, the vegetable, specifically, broccoli, tasted like overcooked rubber. In view of the fact that this is a fine dining restaurant, it is an excusable to have a vegetable that I would not serve to my pet!!! In view of this fact, I unfortunately would not recommend this restaurant!!!!

Walking into IL Cenacolo feels like stepping into a warm Italian family home—inviting, cozy, and full of charm. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
I've wanted to eat here since I was a kid, and it was absolutely worth the wait. Everything is made in-house with the freshest ingredients, and you can truly taste the quality in every bite.
I don’t usually eat eggplant, but I tried the eggplant appetizer with ricotta and sauce—and I can’t stop thinking about it. The eggplant was cooked perfectly, the ricotta was silky and flavorful, and the sauce was just perfection (which is rare to find).
