What a delightful place! The food was 5 stars, or higher, if I could give a higher rating. We shared french onion soup with 8 hour caramelized onions, an apple, cheddar and arugula salad that was to die for, the bistro burger on an everything roll, which was so tasty ( and I am not even a burger person, but would definitely order again) and the bistro fries, that were so different and extremely yummy! Staff were very pleasant, helpful and efficient. We each had wine that was suggested and very good. We look forward to returning.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Liberty Street Bistro the evening before our wedding. The food and service was 10/10. We worked with Maggie several times to plan the evening and it turned out great. I would highly recommend to anyone getting married in this area and really wants to have an intimate and delicious rehearsal dinner the night before to check this place out.

Everything about our experience was 5 star. All of the staff demonstrated care for us throughout our lunch experience. They are knowledgeable about the menu and very engaging. For lunch we had the Firecracker Chicken sandwich and the Apple, cheddar salad. The Firecracker lived up to the name. Hands down one of the best I've ever had. The salad was also delish. A generous portion, lightly dressed, busting with apples and cheddar. I only wish we lived closer.

We only have the opportunity to visit Liberty Street Bistro a couple of times per year when we visit our son at West Point, but it is always a highlight of our visit. The food is fantastic - fresh, locally sourced and expertly prepared. The cocktail menu is unique and delicious. Pro tip - ask the mastermind behind the original concoctions for his recommendations - I am always surprised and delighted by his guidance which has steered me towards choices I would not previously have considered. The atmosphere is wonderful - peaceful, eclectic and fun. The service is always excellent. Tonight Christian was our server. Christian gave excellent recommendations - the spare ribs with coconut rice, mango coulee and fried jalapeños were absolutely delicious. Christian was very attentive yet non-intrusive and fun to talk to.

The bistro is a reflection of my entire experience in Newburgh - a place that is working hard to make your experience a great one, and with the exception of a few odd glitches, they deliver. We had the cheese plate and fried artichokes to start with. The artichokes I could take or leave but the cheese selection was great. My friends both had the Levantine Couscous with fennel and asparagus entree, which they enjoyed a lot. I had the stone fruit burrata as an entree and it was also wonderful. In spite of some of the reviews that indicate they encountered limited vegetarian options, we found quite a few and were well satisfied. For dessert we shared the brownie and vanilla ice cream and the oil cake with raspberry mousse, both of which we happily finished off. Their wine list was good, and they were happy to create a mocktail to meet the desires of my friend. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff are solicitous without being intrusive. When there were minor hiccups, they addressed them immediately. The evening was a wonderful way to celebrate time with friends.

Dinner and drinks with friends was amazing! I can still taste all the flavors! The hibiscus on my tequila cocktail and the coconut on my short rib. The food is so fresh and flavorful. It's great to spoil yourself at the hands of the great mixologist and chef here! Can't wait to go again, soon!

Been to LSB a dozen times at least. There's a lot we enjoy about the food. However, we find that the dishes are hit or miss. We had a decent meal, enjoyed the fried artichokes and salads. The main courses were disappointing but interesting. This one star review is mainly about this miss of a dessert. The basque cheesecake. So disappointing, bordering on insulting. The cheesecake portion was the size of my pinky finger, 3 bites. It was served with a sorbet that was unbalanced, and didn't do anything for the dish. The coffee they serve is also undrinkable, no amount of cream or sugar could save it. Just turned the night into a major let down.

Had a great night out with some visiting family here. Every course was perfection. We were able to park just outside the restaurant. Definitely recommend.

Plenty of restaurants have style and many more have the substance. But we all know putting the two together doesn't always come by easy. Which is why I'm applauding Liberty St. Bistro in Newburgh big-time for marrying tasty food with a sharp sense of indoor aesthetic. While many residents deeply oppose how Newburgh has been transforming in the last 15+ years and counting, Liberty St. Bistro is a very nice addition to...Liberty St. This place specializes in tasty New American dishes with a touch of French. Liberty B. was a very nice stop for a nosh before heading home. Between the seasony nuts, olives, the 1/2 cheese plate, my Vegan meal, hubs' bun-less burger+ mixed greens, my stunning and delicious chocolate+popcorn dessert and cocktails- we enjoyed it all. Service was incredible from the host to our main server, Zach (I wanna call him that) when we snagged a seat outdoors. Prices are a bit out there, but they didn't hurt our pockets. It's one hot spot and a firm fixture already in this area though.

They overcharge. $11 for French onion soup with no melted cheese on top and a little piece of bread, never again!!!!!

Heard about this place for awhile, finally had the chance to try. Was great and great service. Hope to come back and try something else.
