My fiancé and I were in Newburgh for an afternoon and happened upon this restaurant during our stay. The owner was so kind and inviting. She cooked and served us our meals with care. It was like a home cooked meal your mother would prepare for you. Tasty food, we would love to come back. Happy day.

Owner was very rude. Service was terrible. Owner kept telling me and my family how to eat our food. Wouldn’t let us add more chili oil to our ramen. Owner put utensil in my bowl for me. I felt as i was being disciplined on how to eat, i was offered utensils and told i couldn’t have a spoon AND chopsticks.

The owner is a delight and the food is delicious, nourishing and tastes like love. The restaurant is understated, but don't pass it by. Some of the best Korean I've had since leaving San Francisco.

The best Korean, and possibly the best restaurant, in Newburgh. Surely the best Korean you’ll find.

The best seaweed rolls to exist! All freshly made to order. Owner so sweet too. I have also tried the tofu hot pot and the kimchi rolls and they are also phenomenal. I believe it's cash only so if you go make sure you have dolla dolla bills!!!

They did not allow my girlfriend and I to split a bowl at lunch, so we were pressured into buying dumplings too. Happy we did, the dumplings saved the meal. Bibimbap bowl w/beef was 90% rice with almost no beef to be found. Ambiance was ok... it was rainy so unable to take advantage of the outside patio.

Ive been wanting to try this for several years and never got around to it. Heard amazing things about it. Honestly I was a little disappointed. The owner was super nice we were the only ones in there I won't say we were ignored but I wouldn't say she necessarily rolled out the red carpet either. It was confusing to us if we ordered upfront or if we should take a seat she didn't really instruct us on what to do how to order etc.I thought the food and the flavors were really good but not worth the price anymore. Portion size is pretty small especially for the price. We had bulgogi and a beef bibimbap . The bibimbap was $17, but the bulgogi was $25 and def not worth it. I'm certainly glad I got to try it but I'm not sure I would be back at least not on a regular basis. If I could give half stars it would actually be 3 1/2 but I had to round up to 4.

Never heard of a place charging a plate share fee for take out. That charge only applies for dining in. If you place an order for take out and share your plate with 12 people that's your business. Not a good look. Will never give my business to this place.

Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was practically dying of hunger so I decided to pop in. This place is the definition of a hole-in-the-wall. The menu changes from time to time, but since I didn't know what to order, Hee-Won told me exactly what I wanted to get. She recommended the Bibimbap with beef. She took my order, told me there was seating outside, and told me my food would be ready soon. In about 5 minutes, she presented to me the most beautiful plate of colors and scents. Wow... words cannot describe the taste, but I will try my best. Fantastic aroma, spicy, and crunchy, it was exactly what I wanted, and I have never had authentic Korean food before. Not much else to say other then check this place out for yourself. You won't regret the choice. I will visit again the next time I'm in the area. Worth every penny.-Alex

My husband and I went here in the fall and sat outside. We tried to go to dinner at the waterfront in Newburgh but it was packed and there was zero parking. We drove down Liberty Street and decided to give Seoul Kitchen a try since we found parking and it was not crowded. A lovely Korean women owns, operates and cooks the food here. Everything is homemade and delicious and very authentic. I had amazing noodle soup with perfect Korean spices and I was able to get my dish made vegan. I would highly recommend this restaurant and have to get back soon. The outside seating in the backyard was very cute and charming and had a nice vibe.
