Good place

This place could be amazing if management properly trained the waitstaff. Although sweet, my waitress was oblivious to the daily selections of the day (quiche, soup, cheeses). Had to check with someone inside whenever I asked about something on the menu. Didnt know the wines, didnt know what a Pour Over was when I ordered one. I can go on and on. Even when asked for fresh pepper and salt for my salad, she said she had to ask. Very odd experience. Food was okay..I was disappointed.

Be Nice

This is like a little slice of Central Park. So cool great date spot

Met the talented cafe owner a month or so ago when we stopped for lunch. The building has been beautifully restored, the food was interesting and delicious, and we truly enjoyed our experience. The cafe owner patiently explained his plans, including future goals to not only continue the cafe, but to promote the venue for other positive park events. Hopefully the city will recognize his efforts and get on track to help restore the city and its park to what it was meant to be. It would be the community’s loss if this project is not fully embraced and supported by patrons and local government so that his efforts continue on to the next phase. A true gem with incredible historical significance and great potential

Fantastic use for this historic building, and great addition to Downing Park. Definitely try it!

Great coffee and great night ambience with fire pits outside their windows.

Celebrated our 17th Anniversary here on a Friday evening. Owner was super-attentive, food was great (braised short ribs, YUM!) The setting was beautiful, and the apple pie with caramel drizzle...amazeballs.

The view and restoration of building is great! The food has the potential to be awesome but this time, the eggs were overcooked, bacon was hard as rock, and server was waaay off her game. Albeit, she was very pleasant. Cappuccino was excellent and parked on street very close. Our avocado was mostly blackened.. When returned we never got a replacement and at the end of visit were told,it's because theyre out of season. Then take it off the menu guys.. We want to see this place succeed but in this business you can't have bad days...

Wonderful atmosphere and location. Steve has done something magical with the place. Perfect for coffee--he has a crazy expensive Italian coffee machine-- but also lunch or dinner too! Highly recommend.
