We had a really good time laughing at all the bad reviews for this place after we visited … the entitlement of people blows my mind. The two of us left so happy and so full for under $20. Super cute divey and colorful atmosphere. The counter service and patrons were all friendly. Wasn’t sure if it was Mexican or Puerto Rican like some of the reviewers mentioned as there were nods to both, but the important part to me was that it was delicious. The tostones were perfectly flavored...
If you are looking for a 5 Star restaurant to take your high class clients to, this might not be the place for you. If you are looking for authentic food that you can take with you, then this is the place. Seating is limited to just a few booth type tables, but this place has been a staple for as long as I can remember. Get the pernil with rice and beans. You won't be disappointed. (I took the pic after I started eating. The presentation was much nicer. ?)
