Nice old fashioned bakery with plenty of variety. Prices are average. Nice employees with good service. I took a point off because of parking and strange people outside on the street asking for money.
Wow, the only real Italian cookie and pastry shop left in the lower Hudson Valley. We didn't have to drive to the Bronx or Brooklyn! Selection is over the top for everything we remember from Brooklyn. Ricotta Pie, Italian Cheesecake, excellent Tiramisu. Butter cookies are fabulous. We are so lucky we found Torino's.
Old school Italian bakery, they don't make them like this any longer. Quality breads and pastries, all fresh. Get a pan di casa, have it sliced and get a quart of good olive oil, some fresh garlic and parsley and you're in heaven. The traditional Italian cake is my go to for any birthday, anniversary or for no reason at all. Whipped cream, shaved almonds on the sides, your choice of filling between two fresh layers.
