Stopped in during our camping trip at Harris Lake campground. We really enjoyed our experience! Our server was Kelly and she was super sweet. The food was great and fast. We loved the atmosphere inside and will make an effort to stop back next time we visit the ADK!

Newcombe Cafe and Camground is absolutely wonderful! The campgrounds are well kept and it was a peaceful stay. The Cafe was a perfect way to start the morning. It was charmingly decorated and everyone from the owners, staff and other customers were welcoming and pleasant. This is a must stop for anyone that is going through the area!

My wife and I have been coming the past few years about twice a year to camp. We really love the place, including our grandkids. The owners have done an outstanding job with the campground and cafe. It's really important to the area and locals. They've invested in the community and it in return. Recently, due to serious health need , this place is looking for new owners. We hope for continued sustainable leadership going forward.

Our 3rd summer renting a lake house on Lake Harris. My husband and I count the minutes for them to open! Amazing food and people. Pastrami hash and blueberry pancakes is my favorite breakfast. I ordered 2 pancakes and it's enough for 3 people! Grilled chicken Ceasars salad is my favorite lunch.

I went in to inquire about my husband and I staying at their campground. The front desk was empty; but there was a sign that said, "Please wait to be seated," for the cafe. So I stood and waited. I only saw 2 workers/waitresses. They kept looking up at me but never acknowledged. I asked a customer who was eating, if anybody was working here? She said yes and pointed to the 2 waitresses. I waited a little longer and decided they didn't want my money. So I left. They were so rude!

We had a great lunch here. Service was friendly, the food was very good, and their concern for our gluten free needs was outstanding. Days and hours are limited so check their website.
The atmosphere is "small town" and perfect for the setting.
They have the only gas pump in town but we had to pay cash because it wouldn't take my VISA or MC. They were easy to deal with in solving that issue. They come out and turn the pump on for you.
Dietary restrictions: They took great care to make sure my partner had a completely gluten free meal. Their concern was outstanding.

When you've been tent camping in a downpour in the Adirondacks, and expect that the best coffee and food available will be from a grumpy gas station...hang on a few more minutes! Newcomb is small on the map, but their Cafe offers BETTER than homecooked breakfast. The ADK plate had 3 eggs, choice of meat, choice of potatoes, choice of toast, and three pancakes that filled a dinner plate and were about 3 inches high. (There were choices for them, as well!) We totalled three guests, each ordered something different, all three 200% delighted! On top of that, the coffee was excellent and served in huge mugs. In retrospect, I don't remember anything priced higher than $16, and that included a chicken fried steak plate that my other son ordered. He gave that a billion stars, as well. GREAT Cafe!

Great little spot for camping! The campground stays open past Labor Day/Columbus Day, when many of the state run DEC campgrounds are closed. I enjoyed some tent camping here in October 2020 and though it was cold, I warmed up with a hot shower and delicious breakfast at the Cafe in the morning. The owners are great and called me to confirm my arrival time in advance, and give directions to my tent spot, where to park, etc.
