We had a lovely visit to this very special winery. As we pulled up in the drive, we wondered where all the cars were. We were the only ones there at that moment and what a plus that was. Upon entering and being greeted by Finn, the dog, we were invited to sit down at the table where Jim, the owner sat down and began to educate us on his wines. And what an education we received. We tried a variety of reds and whites and enjoyed them very much. We also talked about how to taste the wines and how they differ. How decanting opens the flavor of his wines. We could tell what pride Jim has for his truly world class wines. We were greatly disappointed that we could not join his Club Membership as they can’t mail to Michigan. Our loss. We have visited many wineries in our years but nothing compared to this. The welcome, the wines, the education and the personal attention that Jim gave us that day were incomparable to any others we’ve had. We also met his wife and daughter and really appreciated that we were dealing with a family owned winery not a corporation or hired staff person. Made such a difference! This winery is one of many in the area. The customer service was outstanding. You won’t be disappointed. Make it your stop too.

Such an awesome experience! Jim was the best, super welcoming and taught us so much about wine. The wines were amazing and totally unique, and the cheese board (with homemade chutney!) was perfect. Loved the whole vibe, the staff, and of course their sweet pup Finn. We’ll definitely be back, and bringing everyone with us!

We enjoyed a tasting with owner and winemaker Jim Baker. Jim shares a wealth of knowledge and the entire experience was very informative and educational. Highlights of the tasting were the DuMonde white blend, the Bulls Blood and the Cab Franc appassimento style. All varietals on the tasting list are estate grown. We highly recommend a visit and by all means ask to speak with Jim. He is just a great down to earth kind of guy!

What a great experience. My wife and I stopped at 2 wineries while in Niagara. When we pulled in we were not expecting much. Wow were we wrong. We were greeted by Jim who sat down at our table and started talking. He was the wine maker. He gave us great info and the wine was amazing. We like dry and these wines were fantastic. We loved the tasting, the info and we left with 6 bottles of wine! Thank you

Be sure to open that door to a great wine experience. We have visited our fair share of wineries. We would say that Chateau Niagara stood out to us for two reasons. First, the wines themselves are very notable. We tried four reds… three of them, the Precoce, Bulls Blood and Trinity were very good. The fourth, the Cabernet Franc might have been the most exceptional Cab Franc we have ever had. Second the owners and wine maker, Jim and Kathy’s enthusiasm was contagious. We have NEVER been provided so much insight about what we were tasting. Very highly recommended!
