Flags galore and so much more
We were recently disappointed with food at Sunday brunch at an upscale place. Today we stopped on a lark here en route to a nearby farm market for their fresh apples and cider. Oilcloth table covering as I had growing up. Menu paper resting in plastic sheet covers with circle metal holders. Candy store & bakery in another room. One might say homey, others perhaps a dive. We wondered what we had done being there. Our breakfasts far exceeded our expectations. Both meals were hot on arrival. Perfectly prepared. Eggs over easy and the 1/2 omelet was among the best ever. Sausage links and home fries were wonderful. Chef did not presume to know our tastes as we added our condiments as we desired. Toast was homemade bread. Several types available. Coffee was hot and freshly brewed. Refills were offered on a timely basis. Server was friendly and efficient.
Forget comparing to the old owner ..going downhill...fast short staffed long wait ..disappointing food.
waiters are very slow and very forgetful had to wait for milk shake like over an half hour. food was not cooked right and some came out cold and very salty. waiters did not really pay any attention to the table and missed how stuff was cooked or not cooked.
Our party of three was seated about 11:45am. In a few minutes, our waitresses arrived and took the drink order. When the drinks were served, we ordered our food. An order of potato skins, an order of onion rings, a cup of clam chowder and 10 wings. Aventually, the onion rings and potato skins arrived. The waitress asked if there was anything else? Yes. What about the soup and wings? She brought the soup. One hour, from the time we ordered, the wings arrived. Then the server acts all offended when the time for the food was questioned. Two of the people in the party left the table to go to the store part of the building while I finished my meal of wings. My tea was empty when the wings arrived and there was zero effort to refill the beverage. I was asked if I wanted desert. I declined simply because I didn't want to wait hour for it to be served. Back to the actual meal; the onion rings were really greasy and over cooked. The potato skins were good. The chicken wings were ok. I didn't eat the chowder. I would not go this establishment again.
No small yard style Buffalo bills flags. Nice store though

Excellent food, cozy atmosphere, and very nice staff. Extra points if you like shopping for antiques and/or knickknacks.
I've never been before, the food was great, the atmosphere was very nice and welcoming. It was interesting inside there. Offers a substance with fresh baked goods, dining room, a bar, and the little shops all around. Next time I come in, and I will be back, I'm going to have to stick around a little bit longer. Just so I can check more out. I'm sure, every time you come there's more to check out. It was really neat how they had all the old candy for sale, when you walked in the door also. Along with all the old Nostalgia stuff.

Only open lunch and dinner.
My wife and I were happy to hear Gordie's would be reopening. It is a family favorite, with good food and excellent service. Being newly reopened they have a limited menu, which came as no surprise. What came as a surprise were the price increases; +15-20% on everything on the menu. Prices still are comparable to a lot of places, but Gordie's had always been known for really reasonable prices. I'll still be going there for a good meal every so often, it'll just cost me more.
