Excellent food and people!
Business doesn’t appear to be well maintained. Waitress didn’t seem happy to see customers that didn’t want to just sit at the bar and drink and didn’t have drink or food options that were listed on the menu. The fried food we did order was either not very good or burnt. Will not be returning.
I have to put it out there. This was probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a bar/restaurant I’ve been too. The server/waitress was definitely not the best she had an attitude like no other. She complained the whole time about how all she’s done is cook food today. We got our sodas which were poured from a 2 liter and asked for new sodas because they were flat and had something floating in them. We got a bunch of attitude and she slammed the cups down at the bar and had a very sour look on her face. She didn’t replace our cups she just replaced the ice and the soda. We Placed our orders and she was very very rude the whole time we were ordering. Ordered burgers and fries and she complained about how she only had 3 burgers thawed and one of the burgers had 2 patties so one of us had to settle for something else. The fries were beyond burnt/black very hard. I think the oil they were using is very very old as well. The burger tasted like lighter fluid and I understand it’s charbroiled but it was burnt and dry. We didn’t get any condiments besides a just about empty bottle of ketchup Definitely won’t be going back. Thank you hornets nest for the one and only times I’ll go there. The reviews of being a good place to eat are definitely wrong.
It a great place to go and chill out love it and everyone there

This is one hole in the wall that I will make the occasional road trip to pop in. Most of the clientele are locals, which makes for a great, friendly atmosphere. We were interacted with and quickly felt at home. No draft beers but a decent variety of bottles and cans. The menu has a nice variety of choices. We started with loaded tater tots, which were yummy. My wife had the hot honey wings, that were amazing, and I had the Philly cheesesteak, which was absolutely delicious! The place has a lot of character! There is no wait staff, so march yourself to the bar, place your order and make some friends!

I had to edit this review due to my second visit. I was told the first time I was served by a waitress, and this time it was the owner. It was terrible! I thought for sure this was gem but I couldn't have been more wrong. Was told get it yourself and ain't got that. Not given any condiments or a full order of food even though we paid extra for it. They never offered us drinks.
Only thing I can say is... hope it turns out like my first visit for you and not my 2nd.
Old reveiw: I absolutely LOVE this place. If you love country simple with outstanding service this is a MUST VISIT! They even had water buckets for you when you bring your dog. There was 3 dogs there tonight all sooo very sweet. This place makes you feel like your right at home with it's small town charm!

Friendly atmosphere and lots of things to do like pool table, shuffleboard table, darts, etc. They even had free pizza and stromboli for an appetizer.

Worst bartender ever. Nothing but attitude and inconvenience from her! Came through for nostalgia as someone that grew up in the area. Felt very uninvited and unwelcome.

I'm not sure how you got all these great reviews. We went there last night 11/30/23 with another couple. After sitting for 10-15 mins with no one to wait on us we left. It is a hole in the wall which was ok for us but expected at the very least was a drink order taken. It was like we were invisible.
For a little, “hole in the wall” (and I don’t mean that in a bad way…. The food is vey good. The burgers are huge and very tasty … this is the ONLY place I’ve found in upstate NY that actually serves a cheesesteak worth calling a “Philly Cheesesteak “…The atmosphere of this place is what you need to experience… when you get there, you will know exactly what I’m talking about.A very local, hometown , “belly-up-to-the-bar”kind of place. You will feel tight at home when you walk in ! The staff is friendly and welcoming (?) and good conversation is always to be had with the locals. Don’t miss this little gem !!
Ordered chicken wings for three people. Going in to get them or felt like a nice, cozy little bar. The bartender was nice and
