We have a cabin in North River and have been going to the Log House Restaurant for almost 4 years. As a vegan I was always so impressed with the menu options - an eggplant dish, a salad with tempeh, a beyond burger - there were options. Vacationed nearby. Beautiful place and view! Service great! Italian wedding soup very good. Mahi mahi way too salty to eat. Asparagus was excellent. Strip steaks were not cooked medium as requested. Both rare. No dates for bacon wrapped appetizer available so could not get that which we were looking forward to.
Had dinner there 8-8-2024. The roasted Brussels were outstanding. I ordered the ribeye steak for $40. It was cooked to perfection but the chef left too much fat and tendons on the outside. The steak was covered with a mushroom/brown sauce which was way too salty. The mashed potatoes were fine but the asparagus should have been trashed because they were so out of season and fibrous.i think the asparagus was left over from the previous wedding.
