I visited Forno E Gelato on 3/8/2024 to check out what they had since we were early for our reservation at Frank Primo's next door. The gelato case was well stocked and there were several enticing items in the pastry case. As I asked whether they made Italian almond amaretti cookies, Rachel, the owner came in and we had a pleasant discussion about them, she looked them up on her phone on the spot, and forwarded to the pastry chef for consideration. I recounted my fond memories of visiting my sister in Brooklyn and enjoying almond amaretti, which often entailed extensive negotiations for the last one! Anyway, I purchased pistachio amaretti and Grandma whites cookies for later, and consumed salted caramel gelato (made by Forno E Gelato) at the end of dinner at Franki Primo's. The salted caramel gelato was excellent, with a nice ribbon of caramel through it. It's my favorite flavor, so I have a lot to compare it against. Forno E Gelato's salted caramel was in the top 3 best ones I've ever had (in competition with Siena in Snyder and a place in Italy)! The pistachio amaretti were also excellent with the perfect soft chew and great nutty flavor. Grandma whites cookies were good with a slight anise flavor, and just not a cookie I would normally gravitate to or rave over anyway. I'll definitely be back for the salted caramel gelato, the pistachio amaretti, and (hopefully) some almond amaretti!

Up until till my last experience I would’ve given this five stars. I moved in in August I’ve had a couple of gelatos and four or five tiramisu. I was in the Saturday before Christmas and bought another tiramisu. It definitely was not the same as all of the others at first it almost tasted like the bite of hard cider. After looking it up online it seems that the tiramisu was spoiled.I don’t know if I have the confidence to get another oneAmendment to the original. I met the owner today ( very quick to reply and to respond and make the problem right )and he was very generous in replacing my bad tiramisu. It’s nice to know that there are proprietors in the world that truly do care.Frank thank you again

A nice, quiet, cozy restaurant, with freshly baked bread welcoming you! It’s a brick restaurant that makes its own, bread, special coffee, cookies, treats and gelatos. Our server was very informative and nice. He gave us samples of the different gelato flavors. He also told me about what items were gluten-free and told me what the other ingredients in the treats were. We enjoyed our quick stop-over in the cute cafe and will definitely stop in again.

Got some coffee across the street and then came here for gelato! Josh was super nice and respectful! Gave me plenty of opportunities to try each flavor to know what I want!Hint: the Pistachio and Orange Chocolate are to die for!

My daughter and I met up here and had gelato, so great, really cute. I have had the blood Orange, lemon, mango, and vanilla. Every flavor was great. We just stopped at the Pendleton farmers market and they had a stand there (yeah!) I bought a special maple pecan, mixed berry and salted Carmel to try at home. I was thrilled to see them there, be careful you can get hooked on this gelato! Give this place a try, I just asked and they stay open all winter.

I don't have any concerns about the food, which was excellent. I did, however, have a bizarre and negative experience with the service service. I've seen their stand at the NT farmers market, and decided to stop in for bread and baked goods with my wife. We were cashed out by a blonde woman with tattoos on her hands and back. She seemed to be extremely anxious, which is fine. People aren't always good with other people- I get it. What did bother me is that she intermittently snapped at us while trying to cash us out. I asked for a few cookies, and didn't realize that they were sold by the pound at first. She was clearly panicking, and eventually told us to just take the cookies for free. I offered to pay, thinking that they would sell cookies by weight similar to a BBQ stand, i.e, $5.35 for .57 pounds. She then charged us for a full pound of cookies, which was approximately $20 for three small rainbow cookies. My wife spoke up, and she snapped at us again. I don't know what I did. We weren't rushing her, I wasn't using coarse language, and I thought that we were acting perfectly normal. I was a little frustrated that she said she may not have any bread an hour and a half into service, but I didn't vocalize that. Maybe she picked up on my body language, but I really don't think this is on my end. We felt like we were being treated like we were intruding and asking for free food. We ended up leaving with free cookies, which I'd rather have paid for in retrospect, and the experience was negative enough where I don't think I'll be going back. I'll probably stop at the stand at the farmers market as we've had a great experience with them. If the cookies by the pound thing was communicated from the very beginning, I would've probably left with a pound of cookies, and we'd be going back after our weekly visit to the market.

Limited flavours and extremely sweet. Strawberry does not taste like strawberry at all, odd tasting flavours. Don’t recommend.

I thought that the gelato was better than getting a golden scar out of a common chest and the worker Lucas was outstanding and he was a very kind young gentleman.☺️
