We celebrated our 50th Anniversary at the Remington Tavern tonight with our friends. Great, attentive service from Andrew, fantastic food!

Food is great, but come here if you have time to burn. Took around 2 hours just for our food to show up.

I have eaten at Remington Tavern several times and this past visit experience was lack luster at best. The other times the service and the food was Amazing!! This time the food was bland and under seasoned. It was very disappointing to spend $400 and feel like you basically threw your money out the window. I don't know whether they had a change in chefs or what the issue was but to say that I was disappointed is putting it mildly. This was a early Father's Day outing for my husband from myself and our girls and he did not enjoy his meal neither did myself or the girls. The waitress was less than attentive and thinking back, she definitely did not deserve the 20% tip we left, and we only have her that because that's typically what we would tip. The ribeye wasn't cooked how my daughter requested it and the salmon that my daughter and I had was so flavorless that you couldn't even taste the capers that came with it; which I cannot explain why not that is. My husbands swordfish was also under seasoned and we are by no means salt addicted but the meals were absolutely underwhelming, we couldn't adjust the flavor as there were no salt or pepper on the table which there typically isn't in higher end dining because the chef usually seasons so that you don't have to adjust the flavor. I definitely could have gone somewhere else for that price and had a much better experience.

Terrible bar service. Inattentive, rolls eyes when service requested. Forgets about requests. Truly the worst bartender I have ever been served by. Only place I have ever received terrible service at. Will never go back

Had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and very generous portions. The location is awesome as well, with many places within walking distance.

My husband and I went here for the first time tonight. Having one about 2 nights a year for a date we were very excited! The place itself is nice, and unique. Our service was absolutely amazing. Our server was extremely understanding, attentive, and kind. We started with the “clams casino” which was basically just nicely seasoned steamed clams, there was no filling really at all. I am a bariatric patient so it doesn’t take much to fill me up and I would usually be able to only eat two however I have three and was still starving for my meal. We got the lobster bisque next (something we both LOVE) and it was almost gross. It tasted like pumpkin, tomato, and maybe a lot of pepper. I’ve never added crackers to my soup but just to get it down I did and when the crackers we gone i couldn’t eat the rest. I was sooo looking forward to our meal. I ordered the filet. Although not cooked to perfection it was outstanding. Extremely moist, tender and have wondeful flavor. The mashed potatoes tasted old and were not tasted at all. The veggies (yellow squash, zucchini, red onion) was just barley cooked. I ate half my filet and was done. My husband ordered the seafood pasta and was extremely die-satisfied. It was basically spaghetti with watery red sauce that didn’t even stick to the noodles and some random seafood thrown on top. He ordered a White Russian which was yummy the first time. His second one was so strong it burned his throat sand the alcohol was so strong he couldn’t even drink it. Our server was so kind and we usually don’t complain but we did tell her we didn’t enjoy anything really. That my filet was excellent and everything else was not. She took his second $13 drink off and gave us two free slices of cake on the house which I tasted when we got home and they were very good. We only went because we had a gift certificate, we will not be returning .. maybe if we stick to things more filling for an appetizer like the calamari and then steaks for dinner I could have written this out differently. My husband finished off my steak and potatoes because he was still completely hungry after he finished his $50 spaghetti. For $160 we could have served our whole family over for steak dinner …

It was our first time at Remington Tavern. We're not from the area, parking is an issue. We used Valet, that was ok. We ordered drinks, the Manhattan glasses were so sticky from the Luxardo cherries that we had to ask for a washcloth to get the stickiness off our hands and glasses. We ordered off the special menu, my date had the 20 Oz ribeye. It was exceptionally dry.. even with an added mushrooms and onions. He asked for aujou but it wasn't available. His mashed potatoes were good. I ordered scallops... it was the special for about $50.00... I got 4 scallops on a bed of disgusting tomato mixture... it was spicy. It wasn't like a carb... or anything I've ever had before... whoever the chef is... sorry. We were never offered bread or rolls even though we said we had never been there before. This was beyond awful. We enjoy going out to dinner. We typically go to very high end restaurants... never had a bad meal... til now. Sorry Remington. My husband loved the Oysters which was the only high point of the meal. Everything after the appetizer went downhill.

The past few times I’ve been here within the last year have been not so good. My wife and I used to LOOOVE the food here. Now it seems like you have a new chef or something has changed because the food has not been the same by far! Ordered out yesterday the crab cakes were made completely different than before, the mashed potatoes don’t taste the same and the stuffed salmon was so dry. Oh and when they gave me my takeout order the bottom of the paper bag was wet so my food fell out luckily none of the containers spilled onto the ground, I suggested using plastic bags for items with condensation or juices that can potentially spill out and wet the bag causing it to be no good. Wrapping it in plastic wrap did not do the trick. SMH
