The servers were nice, the atmosphere is neighborhood friendly. But wow, the food was not good. To call the bacon limp might be an understatement, the home fries were a greasy pile , and the eggs were sparse. Will find another place next year during our weekend in Norwich. ( which is a great little town)

In my opinion, this is the ONLY place to get breakfast in Norwich. It’s your typical diner fare, but it’s always done well, and service is beyond expectation. Laurie is a wonderful server and a wonderful person. It’s our go to breakfast spot. Bottomless coffee and it’s always on point.

Been eating here for years. And lately the service has become rude and unfriendly. The staff seems like they hate being there. They also went to cash only which is inconvenient
Yesterday was the final straw. We were left standing at the entrance with the wait staff ignoring us. You must wait to be seated I finally asked if we could choose a table and was rudely told to continue waiting. My wife and I were then walked to an awkward table in the back corner where one chair faced the wall, and one chair faced the counter. Obviously I wanted to sit across from my wife, so I asked if we could have one of the other open tables. The place was half empty.
This seemed to be a huge issue, and both waitresses were rude about it. So we just walked out. The last three times I was there, the same waitress was rude. I tolerated it knowing sometimes people have things going on in their life. But now I see it's just standard operating procedure
I'll never go back.

Place was very dirty. Food took forever and was not that good in fact the coleslaw made me and my partner sick While we were eating, I heard the servers talking about throwing away the rest of the coleslaw bc it was bad But did not Make any effort to come to our table and tell us about it and make a correction, or at least just take it off the table this place is bad period
My family and I just left Charlie’s and I’m only writing this because of how rude the other waitress ( not ours) was to myself. I went up to go pay and our check was not ready and she told me that I needed to go sit back down and wait for our check. Fine, it was my first time there so I didn’t know how they went about checking out. As she said that I asked if I could please have a to go box and she ignored me and walked away - I asked again and she said no she can’t and that my waitress has to get it for me. This is not how you run a business. On the other hand, our waitress was sweet and service was great. I feel bad she has to work with not a team player.

We went here Feb 16 ,2024 to celebrate the adoption of my daughter. There were 6 of us, and not gunna lie we were quite loud, but it was a good day for us. Our waitress was amazing, food was amazing, constantly checked on us, had a great sense of humor. Food came quick and she made sure my daughter had the best waffle with whip cream and sprinkles of chocolate! We deff recommend and we will be going back!

I ordered a ham and cheese omelet with toast and home fries. Home fries very bland and no seasoning at all omelet didn't have any cheese in it at all and the toast wasn't hot at all and neither were the home fries. I'm very dissatisfied with this.

Racist management. When checking out, I saw a sign for staff behind the register which read “If Black - not good. Check all money” and then went on to say that 50% of Black folks try to pay for their food with board game money etc. I regret that I didn’t know this until after I ate a mid omelet. Now I just feel sick. Likely not a safe space for marginalized folks and their allies.
