Food was bad. Meat smelled like fish even after they took it back and remade it. Think the meat was rotten. Took 2 bits and thought I was going to vomit it tasted so awful. Our whole group of 6 got sick from the food. Also. The service was so slow and not a lot of people in there. Paid way to much money for the food and service

Daiker’s was a great lunch stop on our drive through the Adirondack’s. There was a long wait for a table outside, but luckily there was ample space at the outdoor bar, so we opted for that option to enjoy the beautiful views of the lake. The bartender was really friendly. The beer selection was decent. I would have liked more local beer options, but they did have a Saranac pumpkin ale, which was great (especially with the cinnamon sugar rim). The food was the only downside. I ordered the fisherman’s basket and my husband ordered a burger. The fisherman’s basket was pretty good. I enjoyed the fried scallops and shrimp, but the fish fillet was not good and the basket consisted of mostly French fries. My husbands burger was decent, but it was just a pre-made frozen beef patty. If we come back I think we will try the wings and some other items on the appetizer menu, which looked great!
If I could give 10 stars I would. Not only is the food great, they have live music which is rare anymore in most places. Their drink selection is plentiful, the staff is so friendly and kind, and the ownership is an active part of the entire process. I highly recommend to not only locals but visitors coming in to camp. Great setting all around! Jeremy

We arrived by boat and they told us it was a 45 minute wait. No problem. There is clearly a sign when you get there that they are understaffed. We had no problem waiting, it is a nice place with TVs for football and a great view. My wife (7 months pregnant) my son ( 2 1/2) and I waited until our buzzer went off. Service with the bar staff was great. My wife got to the table about 10 minutes before my son and I as we were saying hi to a different family with a young child as well. Once we all arrived to the table we sat there for another 30 minutes. No service to the table at all. Mentioned we had not been helped yet and they said the server would be right over. In the meantime 2 other families were sat and order was taken, as well as a group of bikers, about 15, sat and served. Once we hit the 45 minute mark we decided to leave. I told the hostess to cancel our table with the server, we had been waiting for 45 minutes to get service. (After the original 45 minutes we waited for a table.) Her response was “okay I can do that” and then she left the stand and walked away. Sorry for the long review, I just couldn’t believe what happened at the restaurant tonight and hope whoever reads this from there fixes the issue. It was extremely disappointing. I have visited the Adirondacks for 5 years in a row and have always gone to Daikers. Tonight’s experience made it impossible to go back.

Took 20 mins to be seated when there was maybe 35 people there. Then once seated 20+ mins to get fountain drinks. We ordered Fisherman's platter.. that stated supposed to come with lemon and coleslaw. Well it didn't. The scallops and shrimp were fried to death couldn't tell which one is which. The fish was less than 1/8 in thick that was hard as a rock. No napkins were served either.

Horrible. 8/24/24. Place only has 2 servers. Hostess refuses to allow us to sit outside even if we get a drink from the bar. Cocktail was bad. People waiting near an hour to get a simple burger.

We rented a boat and there was no one to meet us at the docks. We had to walk around the building and find someone who would help us. The kid that came down was nice. After we returned the boat, again, there was no one to meet us so we could pay for used gas. We went inside and spoke with a guy behind the bar about paying for the gas and he said don't worry about it and we were good to go. The next day we had a $56 charge for 10 gallons of gas. The digital gas gage did not move one bit during the 4 hour rental. No way we used 10 gallons of gas when the boat only holds 18 gallons. We wanted to pay cash at the docks for the gas but were told we were good to leave without paying. I believe they filled up the wrong boat and ripped me off for the amount of gas used. Never will I use their services again.
