Chill, low key and casual. Small inside space, tables outside. Build a bowl, wrap, or smoothie. Gluten free, vegan friendly. Fabulous find.

Awful! Been coming here for a few years on our annual trip up to old forge. My last visit a week ago and the cake and cookies we had were horrible. Frosting was super salty as was the cookies we had. Such a shame because this was a gem when they first opened.

We noticed the LGBTQ friendly logo on their Google site and then the All Welcome sticker in their window (as well as strong Google Reviews)

The menu is fun with a lot of choices. There is something for everyone and flexible too.

We had a quinoa bowl and sandwich and they were both very tasty and fresh. The lemonade was a little meh but it was refreshing.

It was the perfect lunch for a hot July day. There is seating inside and out, ample for people watching.

I had a bowl... The first one in the list (can't remember the name) with chicken and quinoa. My husband had Mo Honey sandwich. Yyuummm! Sat outside with our dog. Oh and a cookie! Almond cumble... Or was it crackle? Either way yummy again.

Dough a Deer is a cute family-owned business located in the Old Forge area. They offer sandwiches, bowls, drinks including smoothies, and delicious pastries. Definitely give this place a try if you're in town!Food: This is one of the best if not the best place to get breakfast or lunch in the Old Forge area. Their food is high-quality, and they take pride in serving good food. Most interestingly, they are the only place in the area I know that offers both vegan- and gluten-free options. Whenever I am here, I always get the El Camino. Not only is their food fantastic, but so are their beverages and pastries: Their smoothies and Arnold Palmer's are delicious, and their pastries are freshly baked and fluffy. Did I mention that prices per person range between $10 and $20, and that's with a meal and drink combined?Service: I have no complaints here. All my orders have been made consistently. In addition, all the servers have been friendly: The husband and wife, and the seasonal student workers. Since the food is always served in to-go containers, you can choose to eat wherever you'd like, whether it be inside or outside the bakery, at home, or other desirable eating locations.Atmosphere: I love the older design of the interior, especially with the crystal chandelier. The place is very clean, both inside and outside.Overall, I will continue to return here over any other lunch place in the area. The food, beverages, and pastries are delicious, the service is wonderful, and the ambience is antique with some modern touches. And all for a beautifully fair price.

Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options and can build your own vegetarian/vegan bowls.

Dietary restrictions: Offers gluten free options.

Parking: Limited parking right in front of the business, parallel to the sidewalk.
