The Bear Dump plate was delicious. The wings are the best I've had in the Adirondacks!

Have always liked stopping here and support an old forge brewery. Always recommended and spoke well of the place. Was always able to find something drinkable. Until last visit. 2 beers where not on tap and only had maybe 4 choices after that. Your a brewery, there are zero excuses to have 2 lines down ever. That being said, the beer lineup really hasn't changed since they opened. Same tired average at best beers since opening. What was always the idyllic adirondak setting just felt and looked run down. The bathrooms, my god did they stink like sewage. I dont think they have been cleaned in the 2 years since our last visit.
With some effort, you could be as good as raquett river brewery.

The absolutely worst food I've ever had at a brewery. not like it use to be. so disappointing.

I have came to this place religiously since they’ve opened and have spoken highly of it since. I go out of my way to come here in fact. I haven’t been here in a while since I have lived out of state. I sat for about 10-15 minutes before I was greeted and watched all of the locals get taken care of and chatted up. I ordered a flight and once I finished it, the board was just taken from me. I was not asked if I wanted to try one of the beers I drank or if I needed anything else today. I then sat for another 15 minutes until I had to excuse the bartender for a beer who seemed annoyed by my request. Not a pleasant experience, more than likely won’t be back.

Great visiting with the owners Rich and Justin. We stopped on a rainy day so it was very busy but people pitched in to help. Nice to see a thriving business in Old Forge. WP visitors

Flavors of beer produced here are unique, but undesirable. Service is good, but prices are ridiculous. Don’t recommend stopping here unless you want to empty your wallet on average food and well below average beer. ….After reading some other reviews, I was reminded of our cold greasy fries and the stench from the bathroom. Many other better places in town.

The host was great, but the beers lacked the bold ,rich body that you usually get from craft breweries. The pilsner was supposed to be "crisp and refreshing ", but then so is a glass of water when you're thirsty. The Session ale was not in session, again, it lacked the full bodied flavor that Sessions are known for. The food was...ok. overall, we were disappointed with the beers.

Very cool spot!

The beer is ... not good. Had the IPA and the saison, and both lacked much of any flavor and were pretty flat. Then there's the food. Charging $1 per burger topping is a crime (so fun explaining to my son that he had to drop the pickles because I wasn't paying for a $17 burger), and to add to that you must pay extra for your sides. Chicken tenders were the cheap pureed and then reconstituted 'chicken' that you get with fast food. Fries were soggy and unsalted. Go to the pizza and clams joint. It's sooo much better.
