Best restaurant in old forge. Great service Louis is a great waiter he brought a drink out balancing it on his head and brought us some home made mulled wine, he really made us feel welcome and wouldn't be out of place in a Michelin restaurant. The food is a 4.9, being a wing snob from upstate the wings were pretty damn good with real blue cheese. We ordered hot and its actually authentic hot buffalo with the perfect crisp. We both got the bacon blu burger they were perfectly cooked( unfortunately they are frozen Patty's high quality frozen Patty's but still frozen all the same. This is why i say 4.9 for food but its still the best burger ive had in old forge.) Great atmosphere right on the water with firepits and Adirondack chairs my new favorite place thanks great pines.

Prime season and only one server and one bartender. Been seated 30 mins with no one even asking for drinks.

This place was awful. Gave me a small little rubbery pizza for 18 dollars. Would not recommend!!

I was very disappointed in the food. We went for lunch and they had 3 choices for lunch, hamburger, hot dog and grilled chicken (thigh and leg). I was expecting the entire menu. There was nothing on the website that indicated lunch would be a limited menu. The food was mediocre at best. My friend ordered the burger with no onions and salt potatoes and macaroni salad for the sides. The hamburger was hard and it came with onions and salt potatoes and chips, no mac salad. The chicken was bland and the salt potatoes, to me, were undercooked and no flavor. Just disappointed.

If you’re there for the experience then you won’t be disappointed. We tried some beer and two different burgers on a freezing night and instantly warmed up by the gregarious personality of Thomas as he is also in charge of the kitchen and menu. John joined in as a young Brazilian waiter which added to the embracing ambience. They keep it simple and everything comes as a unique meal tailored for our appetite and pleasure. Come and see it for yourself.

Stayed this weekend and had a great time. The property is beautiful! We loved that we could book a room with bunk beds for the kids. Dinner at the restaurant was great as well. Decor is cozy in the best way. Everything we could want for a weekend in ADK

We recently had a large wedding at this resort and booked every room for our family and friends. The only guests were wedding guests. The manager obviously did not want to deal with a wedding of this size. No housekeeping, no direction as to where to get fresh towels or anything. If that’s the policy that’s fine; but telling your guests upon check in or even having someone around to ask would have been appreciated. We had to go looking for people any time we needed anything. No staff at the front desk. They complained non stop and were literally taking drinks from open bar out of the hands of guests as they proceeded to the cash bar in the reception area. Did people drink out of their own coolers? Yes. If the bar wasn’t open or the choices we listed that we wanted for our guests were not available..yes. We were never told we couldn’t bring coolers for after the bar closed at 10pm. We were accused of ‘not respecting the rules’. No one was around to tell us the rules! They treated us like we were a problem and looked for any excuse to shut the reception down. There were no fights, no damage to property. It looked better when we left than it did when we arrived. We cleaned the property Sunday, picked up trash and anything else left by our guests - without one word of thanks or even seeing the manager. The breakfast buffet provided for our guests was cold and not in the least appetizing. Most left the property to go elsewhere. No, I would never recommend this facility for a wedding. The location is gorgeous. That’s literally the only good thing I can say about it.

Tasty American food at a fair price. The staff is very kind and the lakefront view is spectacular!
