We were greeted by Mark the owner and were given the option to be seated on the porch. Mark shared that the seafood was all fresh and described the specials. Our waiter arrived and took our drink orders. We shared a Kale Caesar salad for an app & the table shared the bread basket. Two of us opted for the swordfish special which was outstanding and two of us opted for the coconut curry seafood stew which was also outstanding. The noise level on the porch rose a bit with the arrival of additional patrons but we were still able to chat. Our waiter was great, promptly brought our bill which we split. It was a wonderful experience with excellent food and service. We will return before they close for the season at the end of September!
Our party of 7 had a reservation. We waited 35 minutes for our empty table to be reset. Waited another 20 minutes for our server. At least another 10 for drinks. We didn't walk out of there until 2.5 hours later. Most ordered the chefs pasta special. No problems with having autograt, except its 22% 😬. No wonder our server didn't really attend to us they were getting almost 100 no matter the service. Positive note, the food was good and the owl theme was cute.

We always enjoy the amazing food, attentive service and fun atmosphere at this hidden gem!
Food was great! Had the seviche, and the owl’s cousin with a few drinks. Service was nice and courteous. Atmosphere is amazing, too! I was happy to be in attendance with my group 😁

Sadly, this place (where I have had wonderful experiences in past) fell short of expectations. While the available food was good, many of the menu choices were unavailable. We had a choice of fish or steak, no duck or pork. Our cauliflower app was quite spicy without warning. At desert our server offered 4 gelato flavors but only chocolate was available. Disappointing when the online menu and paper menu offer many options and you aren't told they are not available until you order. Service was very slow and disorderly, though friendly. Even the best places have off nights ... I hope this was one. On the up side, what food was available was delicious and the ambiance spectacular.
We had our BEST meal there a couple of weeks ago! The Spicy Seafood Stew was to die for with a yummy sauce and plentiful seafood. I can’t wait to have it again! The blackened coho salmon was perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. Plus the service was perfect and we always love the ambience. The Owl really is a special place for dinner.

I rarely write reviews but every now and then a place becomes a favorite and I find myself craving it and telling everyone about it. I LOVE THE OWL! I live in Saratoga Springs and find myself desperately needing an Owl at Twilight here! Instead, I'll continue to drive the hour north because it is SO worth it and there is nothing else like it around here. I love everything about this place. First of all, the food is everything you could want and more. Delicious, fresh, artful... I have an envious array of culinary masterpieces in Saratoga steps from my door and yet I still drive an hour north for dinner and drinks at the Owl. It's just become so special to me. The vibe is so cozy and romantic. They often have live music, they grow ingredients fresh right out back behind the patio under string lights and it's just magical to sit on the porch. This place has held some very romantic memories for me (perfect date night spot, fellas! wink wink). The owner Mark is lovely and charming and seems to treat everyone who walks through the door as if they are old friends. All the staff has been wonderful and personable. My experience at the Owl has been nothing but consistent pleasure on all fronts and I genuinely daydream throughout my week of my next visit. I love telling people about this place as it's a bit of a hidden gem. They truly care about their restaurant, menu, and customers. Grab your love and some friends, head out for a drive to the Owl for dinner, drinks, dessert, enjoy some live music and lighting bugs from the porch - it will be a perfect night!

We visit the Owl every time we are up here. The food is always excellent and the serving staff always friendly the Owl is always under staffed. Our server was a lovely hardworking girl but she was covering two tables inside and the entire porch area and she also served as the bus person. The cocktails are creative but low on the actual alcohol content.

The Owl has a charming back porch atmosphere and we have really loved it in the past. I am sure it is a challenge to run a high end restaurant in such a remote area. This summer it felt like a basic and limited menu with poor service. Salads, steak and fries were good. Osso bucco was served room temperature (not hot, not cold), wine service was late, bread basket small enough to feel awkward for the price.
We have been going to the owl over 20 years. It's the best food you will ever eat in the Adirondacks and better than most restaurants in the state. It's a special place with great people. Worth the drive.
Never fails to serve the best meals and drinks. Always feel welcomed like we're always there but truth is only visit once a year! Worth the 1 1/2 hr drive. Mark & staff are the best!!
We had a great time at dinner at the Owl at Twilight! The restaurant was sold out and the musician (Gary Hempsey) was outstanding! We enjoyed the Swordfish and Gnocci specials, and really enjoyed the Fried Green Tomato salad - it was superb! The waitstaff was delightful - very nice, professional, and attentive. Can't wait to go back - it's really the only nice restaurant for 25 miles around...
We had a wonderful experience here! It is a unique and cozy setting in a converted old home with a fabulous screen porch as well. The owner flies in fresh seafood every week, highly recommend ordering whatever that is, as it will be deliciously prepared. The seafood stew is also amazing! The owner is very personable and attentive, making sure every facet of the meal is top notch.
