Hubby is always on the hunt for a legitimate Mexican restaurant, after living in Mexico for 6 months, he knows what he’s looking for and Tex-Mex won’t cut it. While traveling on the NYS Thruway we found Cinco de Mayo II on the Waze map and gave it a shot. It was outstanding food, and hubby was impressed! I had a Chili Relleno as an app, then a chicken Torta. It was cooked through but not dried out, I wished I had selected something more exciting for my mouth though. Hubby...
Ok. So it looks like an old KFC. BUT, the food was superb. The menu is extensive and prices very reasonable. If not for the basic decor (not gonna impress your first date) I would give it 5 stars

We’ve tried a bunch of Mexican places around here and this one is easily a favorite. The enchiladas were amazing, the birria tacos were just as delicious, and the portions are very generous. Staff was super friendly, and you get chips and salsa at the table which is always a win. We’ll definitely be back!
