The Fireside/ Sunny’s Kitchen

1.Started off with walking in and the lady and girl said,”Doesn’t anyone sleep in anymore?”
*Being completely serious!
2. They just stared at us as we walked in. WE had to ask if we seat ourselves.
3. We had to go to the counter AFTER sitting for 20 minutes waiting for a refill of coffee. The waitresses were standing behind the counter talking most of the time.
4. After we were done eating, we sat for another 15 minutes before WE went up to the counter to ask for a box and the check.
We only had 4 people and a toddler in our party.
We will NOT be returning!

Went there today at before 11. Ordered their garbage plate. After fully 45 minutes, with the person I was eating with’s food came JUST the burger patty and fries, and the waitress said the macaroni salad was coming. It took at least twenty minutes, if not more. It was also a tiny side bowl amount, not a garbage plate amount. She tried to act like it was a good thing somehow that it was “made to order,” aka they forgot they didn’t have any. Didn’t even get it free even though I eventually just took it home in a take out box because there wasn’t time for me to eat there, just got $3 off for the macaroni salad. Everyone’s food was very slow and arriving at weird times. Kitchen was slow and disorganized, and the waitress wasn’t really doing her due diligence either. Would you not warn someone there wasn’t macaroni salad? I’d have ordered something else. Nevermind that I could’ve made my own faster than that. Place itself is kind of gross? Least ADA accessible bathroom I’ve seen with stairs up to the toilet and a lock that’s hard to get back out of. The entrance/exit door opens backwards which seems like a fire code violation? It wasn’t terribly clean. Building is kind of ramshackle and maybe damp? The food itself was adequate when it showed up, I guess, and my dining buddy had corned beef hash that looked decent. But are you serious. Made to order macaroni salad. No one is that stupid, that is a make ahead food. You need more staff and you also need more competent staff. Or have fewer tables, because it wasn’t even full and I heard complaining about how busy it was. An absurd restaurant straight out of one of those kitchen nightmares shows.

I am extremely picky with my chicken riggies and loved her version. The atmosphere was great, service quick and friendly, and my riggies were perfect!

I travel thru the United States and eat at alot of Restaurants but wow another good hometown Restaurant I am thrilled when I can sit down to a good homemade not from a box Restaurant. To start off the waitress Alexis was very courteous and witty. She is the Star of the place you can tell by the regulars at the bar that they really enjoy gabbing with her and talking about Life in general. But the real Star is the service,food and coffee. I ordered the home fries eggs and toast it was plenty and a price I did not mind paying. And a very homey atmosphere. I will have to stop in again when I am in town. Stop in it won't disappoint.

Great food and reasonable portion size. This is an old building, a little bit chilly in here. Food came out hot. The skillet was tasteful along with the home fries. Well worth the visit. Service was excellent.

Food was delicious. Prices were very reasonable. Portions were good. Service was good. Stopped in from out of Town and really enjoyed this breakfast spot. Would absolutely recommend.

Delicious food, coffee was perfect, my wife and I just finished breakfast for the both of us for under $20. Friendly and efficient staff, and the wait was short for our food. Will be returning for sure!
