I am so pleased to find an authentic Japanese restaurant so close to my home. Those farther away on Oak St and Norwood have come down in quality over time. I always sit at the bar, and the chef-owner is so pleasant to talk to. Very reasonable prices and a great variety of dishes. I advise you against Eat all you want buffet since the fish is not fresh ... very disappointing. I order a different dish every time to order their entire panoply of menu. Service from waiter/waitress is warm and good. I highly recommend Hikaru Sushi.

Placed order… instead of the appetizer I ordered they sent an item that was twice as expensive and charged a tip amount I never agreed on.After 2calls and endless excuses and “oh I don’t know what to do and I “could ask the manager”” I finally give up and will simply not order here anymore!!!This is far from customer friendly and far from the Japanese courtesy I am used to from other restaurants!!!! Very disappointing that you have to take advantage on customers that spend 100USD on take out order!!!

I've ordered lunch delivery here several times with my colleagues and my experience has not been all that great. They're super stingy with the pork cutlet (donkatsu) sauce and it annoys me how they put all the rolls in one container for everyone's rather than separating. It causes a lot of confusion because not everyone will eat together. Last time, someone else accidentally took and ate all my rolls and I was not happy. I ordered their beef yaki udon last week and it was full of vegetables and barely any beef in it. If you were gonna fill it up w veggies, why do you even offer beef pork or chicken option? I think I've been patient because I ordered more than 5x and I'm constantly disappointed or annoyed. I'll find somewhere else to get lunch.

Phenomenal sushi place- the food is high quality, the workers are nice, and the ambiance is calming. They have this orange sauce (not sure what it's called) that's like an addictive cream- it's spicy, sweet, and pairs with everything.
