My family and I had such a great evening here! It was our first time visiting and we can’t wait to return. Many of us ordered the chicken parm which was delicious, and we also got several pasta dishes (rigatoni bolognese, gluten free penne vodka, fettuccine alfredo) and everyone cleared their plates or made sure to take home for leftovers! We also got the whipped cream and strawberries for dessert which was beautifully presented and such a treat, as well as the sundae which none of us wanted to share!
The ambiance was cozy, intimate, and so nicely decorated for Christmas - with Christmas music playing throughout our dinner, which is always a plus!
The service was fantastic and Frank personally made sure that we had a great time. We were celebrating a special occasion and Frank helped make sure it was perfect which I can’t thank him enough for! We will be back!

This restaurant is a gem if you want Italian food. I have been going there for a number of years and driving over an hour away does not stop me for traveling there for outstanding food. Situated in a pre-Revolutionary War house with a lovely outside patio, it is a "must visit"for those who have not been there. Reservations are a must at this popular restaurant. I have taken several friends to Il Fresco over the years and despite the travel time they just cannot wait to get back, Friends have been there from across the Hudson, New York State, New Jersey, and Connecticut and rave about it. Was last there yesterday, July 8, to celebrate a birthday with eleven family members. Everyone raved about the food and service. Our group had a wide variety of home made Italian dishes including pastas, shrimp and chicken "parm", daily specials, and halibut. For a special place, whether for a family celebration, couples or even date night, try this exceptional family owned "find" in Orangeburg, New York, right off the Palisades Parkway.
Very nice, cozy, perfect Italian restaurant in this area, the service, atmosphere and the place itself is amazing,
And when it comes to the food 10/10 on everything they have, I recommend this place!

Well Raphaela the owner walked right beh the food is nothing special it's basic stuff you get at any diner and you're paying I don't know for a chicken parmesan 25 bucks when you can get at a diner for 16 maybe and cheaper they got a couple locals that you know they come here it's convenient but for one person I spend 40 bucks plus a $20 tip I can do a lot betterind me when I came in I was early but no other customers here but me and I was basically seated myself and waited for a way to come didn't wait long but I would have myself met the person she saw me there was nothing going on no emergencies no fires. I had to actually flag her down as I was about to leave I was still sitting and she offered a mens with three small rolled up stroll like cookies which I thought was again a lackluster performance other than the decor which is very beautiful is an outdoor area with a lights and umbrella some of them have holes in them
Additionally I want to have a cigarette I was on the outdoor area by myself nobody else I went to the smoke I have to go to another area there's no other people there either but the other guy comes in when the big German shepherds he needs a service dog it's basically a set of teeth on a leash he gets anxiety if he doesn't have his German shepherd with him
Never had a bad meal from here. Chicken Parm here is my top choice!

This was an experience that is one for the books, albeit several years back:
My father’s birthday party. Family gathering. I ordered some dish, chicken and prosciutto. The dish came literally floating in probably a quarter of sauce. The best part of this was when I raised my concerns to the server, the female manager was dispatched to my table where I was lectured on how “expensive prosciutto is” and that “her brother was the chef”. I told her straight out to get the check and we were leaving. We waited for another 20 minutes before I told a passing server that we were leaving if the check didn’t come.
Overall, having eaten here several times as a couple, it was OK. But they cannot handle a group of 10. The customer service is deplorable. The handicapped accessibility is nearly impossible.
I don’t tolerate bad service when that’s what we’re paying for at a restaurant; but frankly I don’t care who your brother is unless he has letters or stars after his name; which the proprietor here certainly does not.
Don’t waste your money. Go to Piermont and take your pick of properly operated, diverse menus and management that cares.
RESPONSE TO OWNER:
My review is from a horrific experience at your restaurant, that was supposed to be a happy occasion which was turned into a disaster by your restaurant’s arrogant, egotistical and frankly, grossly mismanaged staff. This occurred several years ago but I believe that my experience is still relevant and that the public should be aware that I, of all people, need to be lectured by a cheaply dressed “chef’s sister sans manager” on the price of prosciutto di parma? My complaint was that the dish was drowned in a quart of processed sauce, not the lecture I was unprofessionally given that it costs whatever $ per pound? Like I said at the time, I don’t care what the cost of 2 slices of prosciutto was or is. We left your restaurant, bill paid, with our assurance that we would never return. That promise has stood.
Family run restaurants are some of my favorite places to dine, the world over. Mostly because I believe in preserving small businesses. But the arrogance and outright unprofessionalism which I and my family was handled with needs to be documented for the public.
My wife and I used to dine in your cellar regularly. We have never returned, nor will any member of our family even if you paid for my meal and sent a chauffeur and car.
Never again. I wouldn’t tolerate Il Fresco’s arrogant management, untrained culinary staff nor their handicapped inaccessible restaurant if they gave me a lifetime of free meals.
Again, not worth your time or money. We left Il Fresco that night, went to Confetti’s in Piermont and wouldn’t return if the shabby dressed “chef’s sister” personally comp’ed our meals every night for the rest of time.
Want more information on my reservation? Invest in a computerized reservation system; even McDonald’s has one.
Parking: Dirt parking lot
Wheelchair accessibility: Impossible, to say the least. How they even got a license shocks me.

I ate the chicken parm and it was really bad. The cheese was super thick and chewy and the sauce was bland. The chicken itself was hard like it had been frozen earlier and hadn’t thawed fully. Stay away from the “Italian” restaurant
Update for owner:
Yes I did eat some of it and then couldn’t anymore because it was so awful. My mom had fish was a red sauce and didn’t mind having mine with her sauce. So she gave me hers and hers was also pretty tasteless. So yea I didn’t complain until later on. Why does that matter? Maybe serve food that isn’t terrible or take it off the bill if someone complains. I’m glad I complained because maybe you will rethink that putrid lemon wine sauce and steamed veggies. Would you actually eat that yourselves?
