Best Indian food at Sitar Palace. Our family orders here all the time. We highly recommend the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, chicken curry, mango lassi and more!

This place is truly a hidden gem. Extremely authentic, expertly-crafted South-Indian Food. The buffet exceeded expectations. As someone with a South-Indian partner, they also concurred that this is some of the best Indian food we have had in the NY region.

The service was really good. They heard my non spicy food request without nuts for my son and made something he wanted to eat. Great place to eat right after sports and kids friendly

Food at the buffet was awful. Recently we ate at a place where Sitar catered and the food was great. We thought they must have a new chef and made the food very good and went for a buffet lunch on Saturday. It is a shame that they are serving that kind of food at the buffet. Bad tasting, unhealthy because they added a lot of cream in every vegetarian dish. Palak paneer is in pale green color because of the cream. Only item good was Nan.

The samosas were okay, my husband ordered 4 but they only gave us 3. We already were on the highway before we realized. They were quite small. The mango lassi was good. Food took way too long.

We didn’t know this place had a buffet, but when we arrived, the staff went out of their way to prepare everything again just for us since it had already been picked clean. That kind of hospitality was truly appreciated.

Our server, Kabil, was super helpful and welcoming — great service throughout.

The buffet had a solid variety: dal, rice, chicken tikka masala, goat curry, pulao, naan, tandoori chicken, samosas, a nice selection of chutneys, and even kheer for dessert.

The dal and goat curry were the stars — perfectly spiced. The pulao was also flavorful, and the naan was served fresh, which made a big difference. Some of the other dishes were a bit bland, but that’s understandable considering the area doesn’t have a large Indian crowd.

Overall, it was a nice experience. Good food, great service, and only $18 per person (with tax) — can’t complain about that.

Came here after a 6 year pause and found the food to be sub par at best. Vegetable pakoras, shrimp Malabar, bindi Masala , all had ok flavors, found to be bland and okra had way too much oil on top. Will not be coming back again. Evan, Pearl River , NY Better food for sure at Tulsi in Nanuet, or Bombay Grill in New City. I know the owners in both places and they are super nice.

I always get takeout from here and the last two times the food was phenomenal. Best place for chicken tikka masala. I also got shrimp Biriyani recently and it was amazing. Best place to order large quantity of food for an event or small get together and it actually tastes good. Price is reasonable. I’ve eaten at the restaurant itself a long time ago (years) and can say it’s a typical Indian restaurant so don’t expect a lot plus they have an event space which can get noisy. My experience is for delivery and only recently and it was great.
