We recently had them cater food for a large house party and Cravin Jamaican was a hit! We've ordered from here many times and love the food but we were impressed with how much everyone at the party were huge fans. My husband was actually not even able to get any jerk chicken because people devoured it so quickly! I'm very glad that we catered from Cravin. We also deeply appreciated that the owner came personally to drop off the food and came early at that. It was one less thing to worry about. Thanks again!

We ordered the jerk and fried chicken with rice and peas, plantains and a side of mac and cheese, everything was sooo delicious. I’m definitely coming back.

My curry goat with rice and peas, plantain was delicious today. MY daughter enjoyed her chicken . Well seasoned and I got value for my money. We had that with cold tropical rhythm juice.We chose to dine outside. A few bees visited but I fan them away. The place is clean and homely. Back ground radio/ music was soothing.The waitresses were pleasant and professional. Bathroom is clean. Totally recommend this place. I will definitely go back when go a cross again.

I got the BOGO Brown stew chicken today when I say Cravin did they thing! The flavors were great it was nice and hot white rice was fresh cabbage was a lil undercooked but it was still 🔥

Ordered for the first time for lunch today and was blown away by the jerk chicken over rice and plantains. The chicken fell right off the bone and had a fantastic jerk rub on it - not too spicy but a nice little kick. Rice was flavorful and moist and plantains were spot on. Looking forward to trying oxtail and patties next time - homemade ice cream in the freezer also looked intriguing. Highly recommend for any fan of authentic Jamaican food - will be coming back!

I been coming here for a while the food is great..
The curry shrimp is amazing, the crazy part is it takes 40 minutes to prep the last time i called they had no chef . I've never heard of such thing an in the food industry but to cook shrimp 40 minutes!!. I dont understand that part. That's my reason for a 3 star i think that's ridiculous 40 minutes for curry shrimp.

I found myself up in Wappinger Falls for an event, on my way south back to the city I needed something to eat before dealing with Saturday afternoon traffic.

I happened to stumble upon Cravin Jamaican Cuisine in Ossining online and decided to give them a try. A small little shop with a very attentive staff. I ordered a medium stew chicken and some chicken patties to go.

The food was delicious and a generous portion, I had plenty left to take home. I was not as much of a fan of the patties as I was the stew. They were not bad, I just have had the opportunity to try several from all over as well as my sister makes some awesome ones.

This was nice gem to find for both grab and go or a quick stop and grub on the spot.

When in the area again I would
Mine stopping by again, even if it’s just to grab to food to go.

Just A Note:

They have some ice cream (Jamaican run raisin and grape nut to name a couple) that I was interested in trying. However I was full and wouldn’t travel well. Maybe next time I’ll eat the ice cream and save the food. Lol.

I forgot to take a pic of my actual food but I always order a small. It’s tricky when they say small but the portions are big and the container is large. I think they should put it in a smaller container and price it lesser. This price for a small is too much like a medium price. Well I’ve been to places like Golden crust, Poppie’s Deli, Caribbean Thyme, Big Jerk & Richie rich. When you say small the prices range from $8-$10. Medium $15 above that’s their price range at Cravin. I don’t usually finish the food cause it’s a lot mostly rice. I don’t know maybe depending on what day or time I feel like the food I’m getting are leftover for the day. It’s tasty but not satisfying to my Jamaican food cravings. It’s a hit or miss. I can tell when a chicken is old versus fresh. I ordered jerk chicken , curried goat and so far it’s the fried chicken that I tasted and liked.

You know how they tell you if you visit a Jamaican restaurant and the customer service is bad that means the food is great? Well it’s absolutely not true. I visited for the first time and travelled 20 minutes past another Jamaican restaurant to try this spot and it was absolutely worth it. The ladies who greeted me when I walked in were very kind and smiled all thru out. They gave me a recommendation asking I asked about their Cravin’ natural juice and I took the pineapple passion. Listen- it was refreshing and well worth it. I got the fried chicken, stew chicken, Rasta pasta and fried dumpling and a side of rice and peas. The rice and peas and fried chicken were my favorite. The outside was crispy and the inside was extremely moist and soft which made it easy to eat being that I have braces on. The environment was calm and music was being played. It was clean and had minimal decor which was perfect. I enjoyed it and I do recommend and I’ll be coming back.
