I was so very sad to see the Portuguese bakery closed! I’ve been buying my breads and pastries for years! Always fresh & delicious!

Closed? I hope not forever! The best fresh bread in all of Westchester! And the Donuts and everything else are superb!

One of the best Pastel de nata in the neighborhood- also have to try their prosciutto bread - yum ?

Best bakery in Ossining. Everything is fresh and delicious. Bring cash, no credit cards accepted. Very unassuming store front, you could miss it if you blink so drive slowly up the hill:)

Don't miss this place. Excellent desserts and rolls and the Pastels de Nata are impossible to resist. These folks are working 7 days a week to make ends meet. They deserve much much better. Check them out.

Great rolls, bread and freshly baked donuts which are still hot -on occasion and when you're lucky!

Friendly staff. Nice selection of donuts, pastries and breads. Old school bakery that has been in business over 50 years

This bakery has been a true staple of Ossining for generations. When I was a kid I always looked forward to fresh rolls from here every Sunday morning. Now I enjoy stopping in for a fresh pastry and cup of coffee when I'm in the area. Their bread is also amazing and the prices can't be beat. Old school place, cash only, I hope it is open for 100 more years.

Happy to have this option in the area. Freshly baked items daily and good service which is a plus.

5/5 Super friendly owner/staff who answered all our questions for us. 5/5 Portuguese Egg Tarts - definitely coming back for these, hands down super flakey, not too sweet, delicioso. Get in early, a lot of items were gone since they open at 5AM and we arrived closer to 12. Will 100% come back next weekend earlier in the morning to try and snag the chorizo buns, cinnamon roll and horseshoe (all out of stock, so probably really good). Will update review once we try those out. 4/5 Boston Creme Donuts - would prefer more cream inside my donuts though! The cream was delish. 3/5 Marble Crueller was too sweet for me, but my husband and FIL were fans. 2.5/5 Jelly Donuts - I'm just not a jelly donut person, my husband loved them though. 2/5 Marble Pound Cake - on the dry side for me 1/5 Cheese Danish (too bready - prefer more filling to bread ratio, personally, but the bread itself is decent). The cheese was not very evenly dispersed, one side was just bread/no cheese. Just not what I expect when I think about cheese danishes (where the topping ratio is greater than or equal to bread). Maybe the other danishes are better since the toppings are on the outside vs inside? Could try again some day.

A no-fuss, no-frill bakery. Still had plenty of options at 4pm on a Tuesday. I got a pineapple danish, Portuguese egg tart, and two sandwich breads for $5.20!!!! Just for the price- 5 stars. It wasn't the best I've ever had but pretty damn good for the price. One thing to note- parking is hard! Watch out for speeding cars down the hill.
