We had a wonderful lunch today at Bistro 197. The food was delicious with generous portions. We had the salmon and the risotto. The server could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. The owner checked in to see how we were doing. We had a window seat and watched the snow fall. Great experience. Highly recommended.
We had reservations for 6:30, waited a long time for a waitress to show up to take our drink orders. Drinks weren't ready so we ordered our apps. Drinks finally came and were either not what we ordered or not what they were described as on the menu. Apps came out and soon salads came out. I was given the wrong soup, waitress brought me the soup I ordered and it wasn't even warm. We finally got our meals at 7:50. The food was not good and the service was horrible. I...
First of all, I’m a foodie. I love it that the place is owned by a real chef. Thus, I find the food to be a lot of fun while being absolutely scrumptious… Appearing as fine art. Same for the custom libations that go along with nicely, chosen wines, and beers. It feels good to sit in the place.… I love the vibe. Try the short rib!
