I’m not sure about the place when I visited in August it was amazing. The food was spectacular. Me and my wife got engaged and we came here. It was amazing and when we went back for a date before the wedding. It just lacked flair It lacked everything that it was before. I don’t know what you were doing before, but keep doing it. This used to be me and my wife’s favorite restaurant.
I still send my love cause the people here are great

My husband and I ordered food from Southern Fare tonight and it was mediocre to say the least. This is our second time trying it with the same mediocre food. The only thing saving the food was the sauces. Would not dine here again.

Literally the best food I've had in months. I got the Ginger Spice mocktail which was a perfect start to my night, very refreshing with that great bite of ginger. Pork tacos are cheap and FANTASTIC. For dinner I got the pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese and I had literally ascended. Absolutely perfect. My party split a pumpkin cheesecake for dessert (4 people) and it was a great last few bites and was absolutely delicious. Server Liz was awesome. Kind, good recommendations, great vibes. Absolutely coming here again!!

Everything they make is doing too much if its a salads its grilled salad wedges if it says pretzels and beer cheese on the menu its like bread thats shaped to look like pretzels its unnecessarily complicated, but thats neither here nor there we found a living wiggling maggot in the salad
Beware, their menu can change frequently, so if you see one posted online, it might already be outdated.

A gem in the rough! Pleasantly surprised at this upscale bistro. Atmosphere was topshelf as was our waiter, Andrew. Stopped in for drinks and apps (wings) and ended up getting an additional dinner to split 4-ways ... fried chicken and smashed potatoes. I didn't get a photo of the dinner, but trusting me, it was excellent. The sauces and prep had a surprising twist on the usual preparation and pleasantly tasty.

I've eaten here before and really enjoyed it. The food is delicious! Sadly today our experience was sub par. I ordered two appetizers: the beer pretzels and shrimp cocktail. My dining partner ordered a salad. The folks who came in after us and ordered full meals were halfway done eating by the time we gave up and asked to pay for our drinks. Our waitress never even came by to let us know what was going on. We didn't see her until we were talking to the bartender. She was gracious and paid for our drinks, but we were so disappointed. We'd really been looking forward to eating here. My stars reflect a combination of the three times we've come here.

Food was pretty good, some very unique combinations that work well. My only complaint was the obvious chlorinated tap water that we were served. When we mentioned it was pretty bad, the server agreed. A good water filter system would do wonders!

The fried chicken is on another taste level than can imagine. The bar is full of wine, spirits and a lot of variety beer list. Small mocktail and low limit alcohol list. Very creative mocktails. There menu changes seasonally. Highly recommend checking out this restaurant and is a nice ride out there.

Hubby and I love to drive out to the lake and have been trying different restaurants in Oswego. We love the improvements to the city and want to support local businesses. With that being said we stopped in for dinner over the weekend. Apon arriving we loved the outdoor seating option and inside was homey and had an old fashioned vibe with the music choice and Beverly hillbillies playing on the tv. We were greeted immediately and sat promptly inside at our request. Drinks were fine. Plenty of choices for anyone’s pallet. Our dinner however was a disappointment. Being that it was supposed to be southern I thought I’d give that fare a try. I got the fried nashville hot chicken. Boy was that disappointing. At its arrival my stomach turned seeing the chunks of almost blackened chicken pieces swimming in grease. I dragged my chicken out of the grease over to the side to try to avoid picking up anymore. The coating was fried so long and hard it was difficult to eat. The chicken was so dry and really kinda aweful. I tried to stomach it as I’m not one to complain. On a brighter note the smashed potatoes we delicious! For the money I would think a side green would have been a nice offering to balance the dish. Sadly we will not be returning as it wasn’t to our liking. My hubs got the smash burger which was rather small and not really smashed at all. He said it was pretty flavorless. Service was great and I hope they make some changes to make it work. I will post a picture of my swimming chicken.
