Grew up in oyster bay. Happy garden use to be the best place to get Chinese food. Since new owner ship, they changed everything. Sesame chicken use to hit harder than Mike Tyson. Not anymore. The Crab ragoon is different now too. I ordered it last night but instead I had a deep breath. I threw it out with disgust. I reallly hope they go back to how it use to be. Now I have to go over the bridge for Chinese food. The ppl who work there are very nice and I hope this message isn’t taken in a wrong way.

Vegetarian chicken menu items...I don't know of any other Chinese restaurant in the immediate area that offers this! I usually have to settle for tofu and veggies. The owners are really friendly too. Ni hao!
Update: new owners are choosing frozen items instead of what seemed like freshly cooked (i.e. dumplings, scallion pancakes) and cooked in much more oil. The quality of some menu items has gone down.

The food is made to order, so it is fresh, the place is really just for takeout, only 2 tables inside. The most challenging part is the entrance, 1) hard to find, and 2) large step up to the door, not good for the handicap, that being said, the service was great and attentive, maybe because I had my cane with me.
Parking: Not that many spots to park at all.

The food is good, which is why I gave it one star. But when my mom would call to order for delivery, the lady would always yell at her,being that she lives close to the store. But she knows my mom uses a walker and can't go up the steep step into the store. My mom no longer orders from there. You shouldn't either, being that the lady treated my mom that way

I lived in the city for decades and this is one of the best Chinese take out places I have ever been too. By far the best Chinese food in Long Island and the family who owns it is wonderful.
The food was fresh and tasty and not excessively salty. Steamed dumplings were very nice .

Price of a lunch special is a steal. My go-to is chicken or beef with broccoli, and they never disappoint; quality is fresh and the portion is huge, and the service is very fast and friendly.
