Disappointing Experience Due to Strict Seating Policy
I recently visited IHOP in Richmond Hill and unfortunately had a frustrating experience. Our group arrived on time, but one person went to CVS next door. Despite having the majority of our party present, we weren’t allowed to be seated or even place an order until everyone had arrived.
We understand policies are in place for a reason, but the lack of flexibility and customer service was disappointing, especially considering the other person was right there. We ended up standing and waiting far longer than necessary, which really soured the experience.

Today is National pancake day. It's unbelievable that on this day I go in at 7:10pm and the wait is an hour and 40minutes! The lady Roberta ( super sweet) said there was only 3 waiters working and the wait is that time. WHY ON NATIONAL PANCAKE DAY IS THERE ONLY 3 WAITERS!!!! Mind you there is a whole half of the restaurant empty!!!!! Just for presentation or what?! I was forced to leave bc my 3 year old and 5 year old were starving as it was past their dinner time. I understand that there is a wait but an hour and 40 minutes is simply disgusting specially when IHoP is promoting this for their customers 😤😤😤😤😤

The food was soooo good today omggg!! Today was free pancake day so me and and my siblings, mom went out and I loved it! I tried the Butter Pecan syrup for the first time and yes it tastes so good with the French toast and pancakes! Definitely come here. Only thing I didn’t like was how crowded it was I should’ve went a little earlier and the wait wasn’t too long than it used to even when I was younger only 15 minute wait today!
