Thr French toast and hash browns are amazing! Definitely worth a visit. Pretty friendly staff, a cute little restaurant if you're looking for a laid back and casual experience.

Sometimes I leave a five star review because there wasn’t anything wrong, but it wasn’t great. That is not the case for this review. My meal at Athenia Restaurant was awesome! I got a generous portion of delicious food at a very affordable price. Michele is the textbook perfect waitress, and I would go back just to have her serve me again. Ultimately, this was a five star, very recommendable meal.

If you're trying to decide where to eat in Palmyra - eat here! Terrific menu, terrific service, and great prices. A piece of Americana. The meatloaf was scrumptious!

My dining partner was very angry when he went to pay the bill.HEADS UP.. DINERS IN PALMYRA, NYI don't usually complain about local diners. However.. last night.. at Athenia Restaurant - Palmyra, NY.. although the dinner was good, and the service good.. HOWEVER.. Their new policy on accepting credit card payment for your meal became OUTRAGEOUS!. THEY now IMPOSE A 3.5% SURCHARGE ON YOUR CHECK - WHEN YOU USE YOUR CC FOR PAYMENT!!!!!Now that is a bit much. The excuse.. a new terminal for processing your Credit card / debit card REQUIRES IT.. LIKE HELL IT DOES!!!I am in business - and I accept credit card payments. and If I told my buyers.. that your item will now cost you an EXTRA 3.5% to use your card to pay for my product and service.. I WOULD HAVE VERY LITTLE CUSTOMERS. When it comes to adding FEES to your check.. that my friend.. is not the customer's fault.. it is THE COST OF THE RESTAURANT DOING BUSINESS. Their cost.. not to the customers. So my advice.. if you want to dine atAthenia Restaurant..THINK TWICE.. EITHER BRING PLENTY OF CASH.. OR EXPECT THE EXTRA FEE THEY WANT TO SLAP ONTO YOUR BILL!!! or .. find a restaurant that is thrilled you came to dine.

Our waitress was really attentive, stressed and the only one actually working. The other 2 ladies just stood there talking. Front room was almost full. Food is home style dinner food. If you go make sure you have cash with you, they put a 3% charge on your debit card because the insist on running it as a credit card.

Delicious hometown food for a low price! Athenias is my go to for breakfast food and every single breakfast place I've been to in the last 10 years I have compared to Athenia. "Well, let's see if this omelet and home fries are as good as Athenias!". I have yet to find a place that is better!
