I was leaving Patterson, going to get on the highway and head back to Georgia. I was praying that the hot dog guy would be there, we turned the corner and there he was. What a great dude! I told him about how we used to get hot dogs at a cart near the old Grand Union back in the 80s and he knew exactly who Mike was. Unfortunately, Joe Biden screwed up the economy and you can't get four hot dogs with onions and a cream soda for $2.50 anymore....but I was very happy with Phil's onion sauce and if I wasn't driving almost a thousand miles I probably would have had two or three more... Looking forward to stopping by next time I'm in town!

Such a great spot off the highway to get a FRESH hotdog with that perfect snap paired with a wonderful Martins potato hotdog bun. He makes sure to never keep his hotdogs sitting in water all day getting soggy like most hotdog trucks. Phil is very personable and his prices are reasonable for sure. I highly recommend getting one of his hotdogs when driving past!

We stopped at Phil’s passing through town and it was a real treat. We had delicious chili cheese dogs and tried the spicy onions with mustard. Not sure which I liked better…Both were great. If we lived closer we would frequent this place for a good dog. Enjoy!
