The food was really good, except for the coffee. It left a bit of chalky taste in your mouth. The server told us to sit anywhere. The service was fine when ordering. However we sat there for 15 minutes after eating to get a check. The people were friendly enough.

I charter buses for tours and have been using Karen's (found the place by accident) for a few years to deliver lunch for 56 bus passengers twice each summer.
The sandwiches are a meal! Her specialty, the meatloaf sub, is been provided to the crew and the passengers never complain about the freshness of everything.
Karen herself is no longer just a vendor, she is part of the team and I never worry about anything on our stop to Patterson.
Whole heartedly recommend this place!

We went to Karen’s this morning & our waitress, who is one of the owners I believe, was totally miserable. It started out by asking why we got paper cups for tea & coffee instead of regular mugs like some people had & she said well you have to ask for them, as if we were supposed to know that!! When another waitress brought our food, it wasn’t very hot. She refilled my husband’s coffee & I asked for hot water for my tea & some napkins. Needless to say, she never came back, then I got up & asked our first waitress for some hot water & she never brought it. I had to get up to get my own napkins from the coffee station & ate my whole meal w/o replenishment of hot water. They don’t automatically give you cups of cold water either unless you ask for it I guess…Went up again to the register & asked for hot water again & she finally took the pot, annoyed as usual, & filled my cup. We hadn’t been there in a couple of years & then remembered why we stopped going….Poor service & attitudes!!!

Food was good but the staff was rude first they brought out my avocado that was obviously old and black so I sent it back. Then i believe it was the owner who was walking around speaking to someone at another table who was beyond rude because my daughter dropped 3 pieces of strawberries on the floor, mind you I cleaned up the other food she had dropped but these 3 pieces she just dropped on the floor while she was crying because she wanted out of the high chair. You’re a restaurant kids are going to be inside but Instead of being nasty and telling my friend to pick it up you could’ve said something nicer or gave us a second to bend down and pick it up. We definitely won’t be back now

Please make sure to bring your own cup- served hot coffee in a flimsy Dixie style.cup. water in same type.cup.but had leak on the bottom. Asked server for substitute of home fries for sausage tried to charge extra for them and no sausage. Server never came back to check if things were okay, or ask if we needed anything (coffee refill). She didnt even bring our food out,another very nice young girl did. Had to go to counter and ask for check and to go box. Food was good and hot except bacon.
