The food was really good, except for the coffee. It left a bit of chalky taste in your mouth. The server told us to sit anywhere. The service was fine when ordering. However we sat there for 15 minutes after eating to get a check. The people were friendly enough.
I charter buses for tours and have been using Karen's (found the place by accident) for a few years to deliver lunch for 56 bus passengers twice each summer.
The sandwiches are a meal! Her specialty, the meatloaf sub, is been provided to the crew and the passengers never complain about the freshness of everything.
Karen herself is no longer just a vendor, she is part of the team and I never worry about anything on our stop to Patterson.

From the outside, Karen’s is a pretty unassuming place. The exterior is simple and yet on any given morning, the parking lot is always packed and today, I finally found out why.The whole building is charming. Walking in you kind of feel like you entered into an old school kind of diner situation.
