Service is excellent, as well as the food. This for me is as original as it gets. Growing up in queens finding a place like I used to get in Jackson Heights is a plus. And price it right for the quality.

La Guadalupana Mini Market 2 is a small, no-frills place, but it’s got charm. They carry a few Latin grocery staples, which is great if you're looking for something different in Pawling.
The people there are always super friendly, and the food while more Guatemalan than Mexican is pretty tasty. I’ve had some really good meals here, but I’ll be honest: it’s not always consistent. I think it depends on who’s cooking that day. Still, for a town that doesn’t have a ton of variety, it’s a solid option.
I’d give the food a 6 or 7 out of 10. Worth checking out if you’re in the area and craving something different.

I ordered a Burrito, then they gave me a torilla with the protein and cheese. They call that a BURRITO??!! . That's a quesadilla.
For no further confusion a Burrito has
Tortilla, rice, beans, protein, chopped lettuce, sour cream , cheese.

Dangerously undercooked chicken in our tamal. The adovada torta, wasn't sure it was really pork, it had the texture of a chicken cutlet seasoned like pork.

I was very impressed with the store. A significant space with a beautifully laid out Mexican mini-market. Very attractive.I ordered a beef taco, which I liked. A little more spice would be nice.I ordered a tamal to go and thought it would be Mexican style, in corn husk. It turned out to be Central American tamale en hoja. Maybe I'm not familiar with the style, but I found it weird to that. There was a piece of a chicken thigh with a bone in it, but more than that, it was bland. I want to taste Mexico when I order Mexican food, not New York, or New Jersey. Mexico--chili, spices, salt, garlic, cinnamon, chocolate, oregan, seeds, something Mexican!! Viva Mexico!!
Delicious tacos! Fast, made to order and super tasty ?

The food is very good, the customer service is not good, they serve you as if you were free to ask for things, if they changed their way of serving customers it would be
