These are not traditional tamales. They're huge, wrapped in banana leaves, and incredibly messy. I just opened up the aluminum foil in the banana leaf and dumped the contents out. I'm originally from Texas and have eaten more than my share of tamales. Luckily I chopped it up a little bit before eating it because I did not realize it had bones in it.
