A wee annoyed at the bartender who lecturing me about being cut off AFTER I told her I was too drunk and cutting myself off, but fun vibe . 43 and don't need lectures from the help

Been here 3 times. The first time the crowd seemed pretty cool. Locals hanging out having a good time. One however got a little out of hand. He was cracking jokes everyone was laughing. A young man hanging out responded to one of his cracks. Called the guy a "woodchuck". It was funny for the moment. Joke cracker thought he was Joe Pesce of rednecks. Seriously one would of thought the kid said : "NOW GO GET YOUR SHINE BOX". It was sort of funny till I guess the manager came out and threw the young kid out. The 5 of us that were together crack jokes and call each other woodchuck boy now. It was a bit of a turn off. Anyway, we know we're outsiders and mind our business. The 2nd time weeks later we decided to dine. Menu looks good and it's not eggregously over priced. We waited, waited and waited....
My buddy ordered the steak, I ordered the coconut shrimp, my other buddy ordered a salad , and my other guy ordered the fish and chips. OH and I got a tortellini soup.
I was asked : would I like the soup bow or when dinner comes out. Obviously I wanted it NOW. 25 minutes waited. They were a little busy, I pushed it aside. Kept the table cool and reminded them we're not on Arthur Ave.
She brings the order out, I sent mine back. Either the oil hadn't been chamged or the chef just burned the heck out of it.
I was asked would you like to order anything else? Mmmm the entire table had their main dishes and I wasn't going to keep them more time then needed. I respectfully declined.
I was going to write my review, but thought maybe I should go a 3rd time. So, we set sail on a Monday. Only this time I went with a hybrid group. You, know people from the lower counties that moved up here. Omg! I was stunned. SAME EXACT SERVICE only this time, there was hardly anyone there.
4 people at the bar, bartender clearly knew them, 6 people sitting at different tables.
Being a person who used to invest in restaurants; this place gets a F. No specials, no drink recommendations, no attempt to upsell. Either a lack of training or the place is hard up for good employees. One of the staff appeared to young to even serve. Interestingly; they have a patron whose a cowboy ?. We were hoping he'd be there. But only saw him 1nce before. We wanted to grab a couple of pictures with the guy but didn't want to bother him. He had the hat, boots with spurs..
I will say that the restaurant/saloon does have a cool environment. Semi private seating off to the rear, jukebox, hardwood floors. Very country like. We like that.

Parking: If you get lucky pull right up. I was lucky. You might have to drive around a few times.

Wheelchair accessibility: It's street level entry.

Cozy bar with historical décor. Friendly staff and numerous plasmas displaying sports. Bathroom narrow but clean. Food delicious and affordable, with desserts on menu. There are about ten beers on tap. Parking streetside or around corner.

We had driven by many times but only recently gone in. High quality pub food, good beer selection and friendly service. Sliced steak sandwich was the best.

The food was excellent. It is a busy pub, so expect the pub atmosphere. The place is jammed with locals, coming in for the food. You may have to hunt down a waitress to put in your order, but it was all good.
