Green Star Restaurant

The restaurant itself needs a complete update. It has an old, dirty diner feel to it. The bathrooms are terrible also. The quality of the food is much better than the diner itself looks, though. Good omelets, grilled cheese, burgers, tuna melts, etc. The fries are good too, although not sure what kind of oil they use. I would love to see them update the atmosphere so I could give it a better rating. We often don't choose this as the place to eat because the establishment itself just doesn't have an appetizing feel.

I've lived in Rockland since 1980, pearl river the past 4 years and have never been to Greenstar. So sorry I haven't found them earlier. The atmosphere was comfortable. The hanging plants, the lime green pai t on the walls, the seating ...the large dining room window that peaks into the florist shop next door....all set the time for what was to come. Our server was very polite and attentive, the busboy gracious and on point. I ordered the Harvest Salad w a mango pineapple dressing, my husband the burger deluxe. We were completely satisfied. No complaints whatsoever. We used to frequent other diners in the area, but found their portions were weak and flavorIngs inconsistent. GREENSTAR IS NOW OUR NEW GO-TO!! We shall return. Great job, team greenstar.

Had a corned beef Reuben sandwich it was okay only two slices of corned beef. I ate all the fries and I was still hungry. Will try their other food at a later date and update this post

Love the green star restaurant myself and my wife go at least once a week. Good food good service quick pick you up. Highly recommended.

Forget “taco Tuesday” and stop in on any other night for the most authentic, fresh, and delicious Spanish dish at Greenstar. I was greeted by a perfect gentleman who was so courteous and helpful. I ordered a shrimp and yellow rice dish stew style which was outrageous. You must order their sangria which is loaded with fresh fruit. A wonderful hidden gem in Pearl River.

A great experience! I was around the way and stopped in for a bite. The owner personally greeted me and gave me suggestions. He made me a tasty and pork chop with the best yellow rice I have ever had! The service was extraordinary and very attentive all around. If you’re in the area don’t hesitate and stop by!

Not a vegetarian restaurant, but listed as one. A steak house.

Many meals here when my Father In Law lived in Pearl River. Great for eggs or sandwiches. Lots of coffee. Nice outdoor patio as an option.
