Ridiculous long wait while we were the only ones present. Sub par food, no clue what all these other people are talking about. Clearly something has changed

I've been coming here for three years now, it is one of my favourite local spots. All their pastries are amazing, my go to are the scones (toasted and buttered, so good!) I've not tried most of the food options because I tried the cheesesteak panini and immeditealy decided that was going to be my regular order lol. If I'm in a hurry I like to call ahead so by the time I get there my food is ready. It's good for grab and go and it's also a nice place to sit down and do some work. The owner and the rest of the staff are really amazing and friendly as well, so I really like coming here.

We stopped on a Saturday for lunch with my dad. We were seated right away by a helpful young server. They were 4 of us but no large tables available. He kindly offered to put two small round tables together and we were quickly seated, given menus and drink orders taken. I believe it was the owner who took our orders (and stopped by all the tables to see how everyone was doing). There was a large table off to the side with young children who were treated with the same kindness and respect as the older patrons. The owner was able to make recommendations and answer our questions about gluten free items. The food took quite awhile to come to the table, but it was obvious that everything was made fresh. We even watched the chef walk outside to the container herb gardens to snip fresh basil. My salad was scrumptious as was the chicken egg roll. My husband had the spinach salad with grilled chicken (gluten free). My son had the burger with an egg on top and the Cajun fries and my dad a wrap. My son’s only complaint was his medium rare burger came well done, but he said it was still good. The one downside was how the food came out. Mine came out first and then there was almost a 10 min lag before the next two meals, and my son’s was served last a good 5-10 mins later. No one wanted to eat before all the meals were served so we just sat there waiting for the last meal. It was awkward. All in all the food was delicious, staff was friendly and we’d definitely come back. Judging by the patrons we saw who came in and were greeted by first name, this place is popular with the locals. A good choice if you’re in the area.

This place is a great breakfast/lunch spot. The special, cookies and cream French toast was extraordinary. I will definitely come back to try more of there food. The blueberry waffles were also amazing. I see why they have 5 stars.

Returned to the town that I grew up in and located The River Cafe across from the town park. Fresh ingredients, healthy choices. Asparagus with homemade ranch dressing, fresh chunks of chicken in the wrap, great coffee in unusual mugs. Service was both attentive and friendly. I was happy to be home.

An amazing local gem - food was delicious, service was excellent, and the ambiance was welcoming and cozy. Say hello to the owner, Ruben, who you'll see behind the grill. His place is a must stop.

quality ingredients is used to prepare drinks; the place is near the train station, their fast service will have you in and out while waiting for your train to come by. The staff is friendly, pays attention to details. Orders can be modified to your taste. Call, pre-order for pick up.I was looking for a place with healthier choices like a smoothie in the area, my wish came true when I found them. I love it

This place is absolutely amazing!!! My wife grew up in Pearl River and for the past 5 years we have been back and forth visiting my in laws from our house in Astoria. We use to love to come have some pastry’s and expresso when it was Jane cafe. From what I understand Ruben (who we have loved since the day we met him) has Been the cook there for as long as we can remember. When I tell you, this guy can cook. Honestly everything is great and he even added new menu items for people like me who like to eat. The breakfast startta will make your day!!! Everything is great here and we as a family wanted to thank Ruben for all the food he has been cooking for us. A plus my friend !!!
