I'm surprised by my experience this time. My wife and I come to this place on occasion. This is the first time that I've had a problem at this place. So when we placed our order the clerk did not mention that one of my items was not available. Our food was prepared in the usual amount of time. So why would the food preparers wait until everything else was prepared to tell me that one of my items was not available. So now all the rest of our food is at the table and my wife begins to eat while I have to go back to the clerk who took my order to request a refund for the unavailable food item. She asked me if I wanted to order something else in place of the unavailable item. It's a lot too late for that, my wife would be finished eating by the time that I would have received another item. So I requested my refund. She tells me that I have to wait for the manager but he will be a couple of minutes because he's working on preparing register draws. So by the time the manager comes and gives me my refund and I return to the table, my wife was almost finished eating and my oatmeal had turned cold. The manager came to our table to offer me a free pastry for my trouble. I was already upset and didn't want to talk about the situation anymore so I turned his offer down. I felt insulted by his offer. He saw what my wife and I ordered. If I wanted a pastry I would have ordered one. Needless to say, I'm not sure that we will be returning to this location.

Terrible. Just go to another Panera. They gave our soups in takeout containers. Did not put croutons in our French onions soups. Employees seem miserable working there. French onion soup tasted way too tomatoey. Broccoli cheddar was decent.

Sometime ago I placed a large order for myself and colleagues. Upon opening bags at work I found an item missing. I called Panera Pelham location to inquire. The lady manager insisted all items were checked, basically called me a liar. That afternoon I gave up my lunch so my colleague could eat. I will never order or go back to this Pelham location. Sorry, your customer service sucks, and your manners too.

**WARNING. THERE ARE ROACHES AT THIS LOCATION** So I ordered the grilled cheese. For some reason they made my grilled cheese with the end piece of the loaf of bread. I took photos of it. It taste disgusting stale hard so I drove back to tell them I wanted a new sandwich and the woman laughed in my face told me to throw it out because we don’t “take returns” and says to one of the women also working there with her can you please make a new grilled cheese and the woman’s like “I DONT WANT TOO” in a loud baby voice. I watched them pull the pieces of bread off the shelf and put it on the counter and leave it there for five minutes. Finally the woman comes back up to me and says it’s gonna be a few minutes. They’re gonna make you a new grilled cheese. 10 minutes go by and still my bread is sitting there untouched no cheese nothing. I’m standing there by the counter waiting looking at my phone when all of a sudden I see a roach run across the floor and start going all around. It was right next to my foot and it was not afraid of me at all. So I told the woman who was rude to me in the first place about the grilled cheese that there’s a roach crawling around, and she tells her manager or whoever and he comes out and says “Umm you saw a roach? Where” and I show him where it is and he stomped around a few times, trying to kill it and then goes back into the kitchen like nothing happened. My grilled cheese is still not even being made so I go to the front and tell one of the workers that I want to refund for my order what happened with my grilled cheese and on top of all of it, the attitude and everything, there’s a roach crawling across the floor, which I have photos of. I took plenty of photos of the roach on your floor in Panera. She looked at me like you want a full refund gets the other manager. He’s confused as to why I don’t want the food anymore clarifying “you really don’t want the food because of the roach..?” Acting shocked that I didn’t want to eat there anymore and shocked that I’m demanding a full refund as the rest of the order that was sitting at my house was not going to be eaten after I just witnessed a roach crawling on the floor in the middle of the day. Which leads me to believe that at night when no one‘s there, there are thousands crawling around. The woman tells me she will only refund me for my grilled cheese to which I say I will go home and get the rest of the sandwiches and give them to you.
Stopped by my local Panera Bread today and it honestly hit the spot. I ordered the broccoli cheddar soup in a large bowl creamy, cheesy, and perfectly warm for the weather. My friend went with the chicken noodle soup classic, hearty, and full of flavor.
What I love about Panera is how every dish comes with your choice of a side chips, bread, or an apple. I went with the fresh baguette, and it was the perfect dipper for that rich soup. The natural lighting in the café made it even cozier; it’s such a peaceful spot to unwind, catch up, or get a little work done.
Definitely one of my go to comfort food places when I want something simple but satisfying. 🥰
