I am sorry to inform you folks that Penn Yan Dinner had a devastating fire mid may around midnight 2024.

This is a small, out of the way train car dinner with all fresh home made family food. The staff is very friendly and the food is sooooo good. If you're local or just passing through, it's totally worth the stop. And they are veteran friendly and have a loyalty program.

Really neat vibes. All the workers seemed super friendly. They have lots of veggie and gluten free options which is so cool. My buddy got a fried culliflower wrap and said it was delightful. I got a huge veggie omelet that was to die for.The acoustics in the little place could be hard for a kid or someone with sensory issues to deal with as it does get loud in there when busy. But it is so cute and really delicious so if you can over look that I would recommend this if you are that way. :)))

Y'all - the perfect breakfast spot DOES exist! I visited on a quiet weekday morning and was impressed by the speed of service, quality of the food, and the retro ambiance. Definitely will return!

Small diner that has great food. It can get full and fairly tight quarters on a Saturday morning but I get here early to avoid the rush. Getting to see the cooks make the food is enjoyable. Definitely recommend this place.

So my pregnant sister and I decided stop here cause it looked good. The place was cute, I love the aesthetic but prices for the food was ridiculous. 3.50 plus tax for 8oz of orange juice. Don’t ask me prices for the food cause they were ridiculous too. The water didn’t taste right either, definitely needed to be filtered you could tell it came from the tap which is fine if didn’t taste Metallica, then it took over an hour just to get our food which is understandable cause they didn’t seem to have a lot of people working but Ik other people don’t like to wait. My sandwich was great, I loved it no problems with it except for the chips being a bit stale and pickle tasting weird but my sister? Her sandwich was moldy and we had to get refund and I shared half of my sandwich with her cause she needed to eat something. I was excited to try this place but after this bad experience we sadly will not be returning again. I hope whoever reads my reviews takes what I say into consideration before going there.
