The dumplings were amazing. Crispy on the outer shell but still soft and perfectly cooked. The flavors were well matched and the sauce was drool worthy!
check the hours before you go, online said 11-5 but they had an hour lunch break 2-3 (we arrived at 2:01). We went to another winery locally to wait out the hour break and came back promptly at 3 to enjoy our much awaited dumplings!

Sans Dumplings is an absolute gem in Penn Yan! The dumplings are fresh, flavorful, and made with such care—you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The menu has a great variety, and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The staff is warm, welcoming, and makes you feel right at home. It’s such a treat to have this kind of authentic, handmade food in the Finger Lakes. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Sans Dumpling in the Penn Yan area is a spot I'd definitely recommend. The location is stunning—a beautiful house in the middle of a vineyard with breathtaking views of Keuka Lake. The kitchen was pristine and smelled great.
I tried a mix of dumplings; the pork ones were great, but the chicken and tofu were only so-so. The curry baos weren't for me, though I'd suggest a Japanese curry filling to the chef. While the prices were a little steep, the amazing location made it feel worth it.
Overall, Sans Dumpling is the top spot for dumplings in the Penn Yan area. While a fanatic might prefer the variety and value of a larger city, I would happily return for the beautiful dining experience.
