457 Piermont Ave, Piermont
14 and Hudson is one of my all time favorite restaurants. The food is always good and there’s always a seat at the bar when we’re just looking to get drinks on day trip over the weekend. Highly recommend.
Was here with my family on a Sunday at noon for brunch and was highly disappointed to not have even been greeted or asked if I needed anything after standing and waiting patiently inside along with about 6 other couples or groups of people. The staff simply walked by, looked at us, looked away, and kept walking. Not even a "someone will be with you shortly" our way. Then I heard one of the patrons say that if you don't have reservations, you won't be seated. So of course, I turned right around and left. This isn't the Flatiron room in manhattan where I will gladly wait to be greeted and seated. We walked over to Confetti's and highly recommend that place instead. Bye Felicia.
This fantastic local Piermont NY eatery had been closed many months for Covid concerns.Happily it has reopened this Spring tithe delight of Rockland County & beyond! For starters 14&Hudson makes the best burgers for miles around. A full bar also compliments the appetizer menu.Today I ordered take out/ the amazing Crab cake BLT …which delivered . With a side of perfect sweet potato fries. To my SURPRISE in the brown bag was a small homemade corn muffin & a chocolate chip cookie. For me these little touches add to the enjoyment and set this restaurant apart from the usual.Piermont is renown for it’s fine 5 ⭐️ restaurants & chefs .14 & Hudson has proved to be a bar above all the rest !
We decided to try 14 & Hudson on Father's Day. We went just around the opening hours, and got lucky to get seat at the bar, as the whole restaurant already reserved. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. Interior is very nice, modern look and feel. They do brunch hours only on Sunday from 12pm - 3:30pm. The restaurant has no direct view of the Hudson or the pier, but you can easily take a 2-3 minute walk to the pier.We enjoyed our meal and time at the restaurant. Mango Mochito was refreshing. The fish taco and Salmon burger were well made and served within a decent time. I was really surprised that the Salmon paddy able to maintain it's taste. But fish taco needed some more fish.Among the restaurants we checked and tried in this area, this has been the best so far.Food Taste - 4/5Food Prep Time - 5/5Service - 5/5Price - $$$Restroom - 5/5Items Tried:Prosciutto Flatbread - 4/5Baja Fish Taco - 4/5Salmon Burger - 5/5

Nice restaurant by the pier. The brunch menu is good but I'm def coming back for dinner menu. We had salmon burger, fish taco, and something on prosciutto bread (forgot the name). Food is good. Mango mojito is great!! Staff are very friendly. Only 1 bathroom tho so long line for it.
Wonderful spot, great food and beautiful decor. Very friendly owners. Fish Tacos are to die for. My highest recommendation for the area.
Amazing! I want to start by saying we did not have a reservation, but they were so accommodating to seat us anyway. From start to finish the food was amazing. For an appetizer we ordered the calamari. Nice & crispy.. I think the peppers were my favorite part. Then I had the fried chicken sandwich. Chicken was juicy, with a special sauce, slaw & pickles. Can't wait to go back to order that again! best chicken sandwich ever! As far as service, can't say enough good things about our waitress. Didn't catch her name, but she was bubbly , attentive, & sweet & also had the best suggestions. The woman who seated us was also very nice. Honestly we can't wait to go back. Had the best experience ever!
I had been here several years prior to the pandemic. I returned tonight (Saturday 6/5) for a date and was mortified by how we were treated by our waitress. RUDE, beyond rude. We had an 8:00pm reservation, we were a few mins late due to parking but were seated immediately because the it was not full. The waitress came over to ask what we would like a few mins later. We had just been seated, were cooling off for a minute and having a chat. I told her I needed a few minutes, at which time she said "Okay, but you should probably hurry up because the kitchen closes at 9pm and no one is trying to be at work right now, we all want to go home." Um, okay thanks... So since we are empathetic humans, we quickly decided and ordered promptly, as to not upset the waitress. WHAT SORT OF NONSENSE IS THAT. After our food came, did anyone check on us within 10 minutes? 30 minutes? Nope. The waitress finally showed up about 45 minutes into our meal. I had needed salt for a tasteless calamari app and was completely out of water. She came over finally, and attempted to clear away a plate that my date was still working on- without even asking! Then showed up 10 minutes later to try to clear the table again. There were other groups of patrons still seated, so I tried to ask, as it was only 9:50pm- was is that the entire restaurant was closing now or just that the kitchen was closing- but I could not even get the words out before she reiterated- "oh don't you see those memes on social media- no one wants to work and we all just want to go home." Oh well I guess I should thank you then, for coming to work?! So ridiculous! We felt unwelcome and rushed the entire time we were there..... Just so you know, I am a healthcare worker, and AT NO POINT do I ever get to- NOR WOULD I EVER- no matter HOW BADLY I want to go home- treat anyone how we were treated tonight. Miserable experience.
My name is Sunja and I just celebrated my birthday at 14 on Hudson and I had a wonderful experience!! They beautifully decorated and set up I my table for me and our waitress was so friendly and lovely, which makes such a difference. The food was awesome and I’m just so glad I picked this place for my big day!!
The thought of chicken and waffles is usually on hubs' mind. But it's another thing if it's topped with powder sugar and maple syrup at 14 & Hudson Kitchen in cozy Piermont. After wrapping up with a Lowe's visit not far off, this was the best bet as we swung by without a reservation and snagged a window seat in their glam, black wainscoting dining room. Don't even expect a split breast or thigh for your Chicken and Waffles here. 14's version is actually made of boneless breast sliced sorta thin. But the dredge and crisp on it is killer- making it look like a thigh or split breast. If I ate chicken, I'd eat it myself. Oh...and Maple syrup. It's already in there pooling at the bottom to give your waffle that juicy effect. But ask for more. Period, the end. Because even as hubs took bite after bite, that shiit look good. And according to hubs, it's wicked good! 'Four-tini' cocktail I had, held up nicely in strength- just wished the "Fresh Guava" was more pronounced. And my Grouper Sandwich on Brioche, topped with a lightly-dressed mayo, papaya slaw was exquisite. And those curly fries! Service was terrific from the hostess to our server Gisella(?) down to everyone else. We like 14 and definitely see ourselves returning. It's stylish- but not at all stuffy. Plus our meals were incredibly flavorful and packed a punch.
My wife and I love this small restaurants in Piedmont NY....Creative menu, well prepared.....one of our standby's
Sunday around noon my girlfriend and I walked in here. The restaurant was not crowded with more than half of the tables open. We asked for a table for two and the host said (with out looking at any iPad or note pad) we are booked up for today. I asked "nothing at the bar?" She said no, nothing. I found this very hard to believe. I left the restaurant, walked around for 5-7 minutes and decided I was going to call the place back. This time I changed my voice on the phone to sound really old lol. Right away, "Yes! Inside or outside!" We walked back and were sat immediately. I was so confused. And the staff were super rude! The food was realllllllly good though. The chicken and waffles were sooooooo good!!!!!!
I was opening the door for a gentleman and his wife and the host got nasty with me saying you're letting smoke in from the people out side gave me a dirty look too never again
Great place, food it delicious, love the vibe!
