The place is narrow and deep with a few small tables. It's popular with bicyclists and familes out for a stroll or visiting the local farmers' market on Sunday mornings. The baristas are efficient and can be humored. The cheddar-scallion scone was flakey and savory. The Americano, and matcha latte with oatmilk were tasty and fortifying. Interesting art, and decor. Cozy, but not a place to linger given its location and popularity. Plus, it tends to get toasty in summer as the day warms - no AC, better aired with the door left wide open. Visited around 9:00 a.m.

Very disappointed and shocked by my experience at this coffee shop. I ordered a macchiato and was served a drink that tasted extremely salty and sour—I had to spit it out. Concerned, I returned to the counter to let the woman working there know that something seemed off, even suggesting that maybe salt was accidentally added (though I wasn’t expecting sugar to be in it either).
She told me I “must not know what espresso tastes like” and suggested I was used to Starbucks macchiatos. I don’t even drink Starbucks—and I’m very familiar with what a traditional macchiato is supposed to taste like.
She remade the drink, but it tasted just as bad. When I expressed this, she repeated that I must not be used to espresso. For the record, I only drink espresso and have worked in a café, so I know the profile of a good shot. Eventually, she pulled a shot for herself, made a face, and said, “Yup, this is how our espresso tastes.” She offered me a different drink, but I declined—because the issue wasn’t my taste or preferences, it was the espresso, which was clearly off: sour, bitter, and possibly under-extracted or it wasn’t packed tight enough.
I even suggested the machine might need calibration, but I’m not sure she understood what I meant- as she simply made a face shaking her head. Frankly, it’s disappointing and a bit embarrassing for a coffee shop to serve espresso of this quality. She did do her best to offer me new drinks. If you go to this shop, stick to drip coffee and not espresso drinks.

Coffee is overpriced, they make you do half to work and then when you try to put the lid on the coffee spills all over the place because they use too much ice with the iced coffee essentially giving you very little coffee for such a high price, I couldn’t even get the straw inside the coffee without shoving it in due to the ice densityand bending it to the point where I had to get a new straw.
This is a wonderful little gem in Piermont. Every time I've walked in, the people who work there have been utterly delightful. Their coffee is good and pastries decent. I stopped here once on the way past and I'll probably make it a pit stop again next time I'm passing through. It's a refreshing place to stop on a road trip.

We have lived in Piermont for over 5 years now and Bunbury’s has been one of our favorite parts of living here! In addition to amazing coffee and treats everyday, we had them provide our wedding cookies last week and they turned out beautiful and delicious!! Highly recommend for any event, Debbie and Sydney were amazing to work with!!
Best little coffee shop along the Hudson in a small town.

Stopped by this cafe a few weeks ago, and the place was super nice and the drinks were got were pretty good! Definitely a nice place to sit and enjoy our drinks (we got iced coffee and a hot chocolate)! We even got to buy a children’s book that was written by the owner!

SUCH a great little cafe!!! It is very little haha, but it has such an ambience! It is a staple in the community, absolutely BURSTING with customers on the weekend, and always connecting with the locals: they have flyers inside of all kinds of events, I’ve been to a book signing here, I’m pretty sure they have poetry reading, and I saw on the wall they help local authors get published. It’s just a really warm and welcoming place and I love spending time here! Excellent coffee with my friend today; I recommend the cappuccino with a flavor shot of brown sugar cinnamon ?? Heaven iced or hot, and their baked goods are also wonderful!
Vegetarian options: Definitely vegan and vegetarian friendly! Lots of great options whether you are or arent; they taste great either way :)
Wheelchair accessibility: Sadly not accessible; there are stairs to get in

Cutest little coffee shop I've visited. I got a latte w/ oat milk, raspberry & amaretto, and it was perfect. They also have a book shop to browse, sit and enjoy your coffee/snacks. The aesthetic is so quaint and perfect for pictures!
