Great local restaurant. We are vegan, and Trattoria Da Vittorio offers excellent, scrumptious options.

We are your new fans and will be back.

I have criticism. You should let people know you have terrific vegetarian and vegan options.

We had met the owner at his other restaurant and figured we'd come and try this spot, that was described as being more casual than Lanni's Cucina Verace. The appetizers of meatballs and eggplant were delicious. The sauce on both was so good we could have licked the plate. For our main courses we got, Fettucine Alfedo, spaghetti and meatballs, the lamb chop special and I had the pork chop. Unfortunately my pork came to the table very much overcooked. The waiter and I agreed the pork should be done medium but it was well done. When I told the waiter he made some excuse about it's hard to cook pork to medium (it's not! I do it weekly!) and didn't offer any solution. Other than that, the food was good and everyone enjoyed their meals. One point of contention, was the waiter removing plates off the table while we were still eating, and taking our appetizer dishes when their was sauce to be mopped up. I think he should have at least asked! He seemed to be in a hurry while we were there. It was busy so I can understand to a degree. Also, $10 for a non alcoholic beer!! The owner was generous, and gave my GF a free glass of wine for her birthday and they did come out and sing for her. All in all I would go back. Apart from my pork the food was definitely tasty and worth a return trip

As noted, the food and service are worth a return visit...but not yet. The restaurant isn't firing on all cylinders. Our table for three was in an alcove that was uncomfortably warm. The noise level was so loud that conversation was challenging. A warm glass of white wine was served - although it was a good pour. There were numerous fruit flies floating around. Would have liked to stay for dessert, but couldn't wait to leave.

Today, I went out to dinner with my parents to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Cute little place.

We walk into the restaurant where we are not greeted warmly by the hostess. After the lackluster greeting my mom told Ms. Hostess we have reservations. Upon which Ms. Hostess asks if we have reservations…three times. Really? Anyway, after we confirm we have reservations three time Ms. Hostess takes us to our table near the kitchen.

My mom points to a nicer table in the corner and asks if we can sit there instead. Ms. Hostess sternly tells my mom no and walks away.

Ok. We turn back to our original table.

We start to pull our seats out to sit down at our table by the kitchen. Before my mom can sit down Ms. Hostess returns to our table flipping through a small pad of paper.

Ms. Hostess thought it was wise to reprimand us about how the reservation states four but it’s three here. She goes on about how we need to call if someone can’t make it. Ms. Hostess tells us we need to take into consideration how the restaurant plans its evenings…

Ms. Hostess spins and leaves again.

…We decided to leave after that because wtf.

But that’s ok because where you failed another restaurant succeeded.

I have to say though, the whole experience made for great dinner conversation.

A great win for piermont. The employees are so friendly and welcoming you feel like it’s their home. Atmosphere is charming and inviting. Food presentation is beautiful which matches the deliciousness of every dish. It feels like you’re in Italy. Great dining experience.

Ate in at Trattoria di Vittorio for the first time. We’ve done takeout once before—solid—but this was our dine-in debut.

The food? Sausage pizza and a spicy garlic pasta. Perfection. No notes.

Now, the critique: the whole aperitivo setup sounds great on paper, but in practice? Feels like a marketing shell game. $20 for a mystery glass of wine you don’t get to choose? C’mon. That’s not charming, it’s annoying.

The vibe inside? Lukewarm, literally and emotionally. It was too hot, and the ambiance felt like it’s still trying to figure itself out.

Bottom line: food was fantastic, but the overall experience didn’t quite stick the landing. A few tweaks and this place could be a killer neighborhood spot. Right now? It’s a great meal in a meh setting.

I cancelled my reservation about an hour before I was supposed to be at the restaurant. Not ideal for the restaurant, I know, but I TOTALED my car in a collision last night and cancelling my 3pm reservation was just not on the top of my priority list today…

The manager called me NON-STOP until I picked up the phone. I said that I cancelled an hour prior via google (which is how I made the reservation) and she then proceeds to cut me off while I’m speaking to raise her voice, yell, and give me EXCESSIVE attitude.. telling me NO, no, no, NO, that’s NOT how you cancel, I go through every single cancellation and that i should have called earlier, yada yada.

I really thought about letting this negative experience go because it’s mother’s day and I know it’s one of the BUSIEST days of the year for restaurants and having a last minute cancellation is tough but wow, her behavior was truly appalling and unacceptable.

You should not speak that way to your patrons. As a manager, you are the face of your business and you should uphold yourself to a higher standard no matter the situation. Give some grace. Wishing this place well, it’s a favorite of mine, but I will never return.

Disappointing Experience Despite Promising Start

We were initially excited to dine at this restaurant, as the ambiance was warm and the menu inviting. I ordered the pork chop, which arrived looking beautifully prepared. The first few bites were delicious—tender and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, a few bites later, I discovered the center was completely raw. I alerted the waiter, who promptly took it back to the kitchen.

When the pork chop was returned, it had been overcooked to the point of being tough, and worse still, the sauce and all the accompaniments were cold. It was clear that no effort had been made to reheat or re-plate the dish properly.

My wife ordered the veal, but after just one bite, she commented that it tasted sour and unappetizing. She returned the dish and opted for an eggplant entrée instead, which was a noticeable improvement.

The final disappointment came with the check. Despite the issues, the pork chop was still on the bill. When we raised this with our server, we were told that the owner refused to remove the item because I had eaten “half” of it. They also pointed out that my wife had sent back the veal. While they did offer a complimentary dessert, we declined and left feeling more frustrated than consoled.

All in all, what started as a promising evening turned into a deeply disappointing experience, both in terms of food quality and customer service. We will not be returning.
