My fiance and came down tonight. We love this place. LOVE IT. The portions are always amazing. The staff is attentive and friendly. Every time weve been here they treat us like family. The specials are truly that: special. Tonight I had the stuffed pork chop w spinach, feta and sausage...red mashed and broccoli. Came with a soup or salad and dessert. My fiance had the seafood pasta w shrimp, clams and muscles with her choice of red or white sauce, oil, etc. The value for what you get is INSANE. I HIGHLY reccomend coming here!!!!! Every meal...wether breakfast, lunch or dinner. You will NOT be disappointed!!

Jo Jo Apple: After many weeks staying in the house r recovering from knee replacement surgery, my wife and I were able to go out for brunch and headed to Point Lookout to look at the ocean and eat at Jo Jo Apples, where we had enjoyed eating a while ago. Although crowded, we were able to get a table at this very charming casual breakfast and lunch spot with parking lot. My wife ordered a very fresh and tasty Reuben Fish Sandwich, and I ordered a hamburger ("no more than medium"). The hamburger, unfortunately, was a "hockey-puck" overly well done, with no taste, no seasoning on a bun that must have been frozen and somehow re-heated (maybe even micro-waved) for it was not good at all. My wife asked for sweet potato fries, instead of the French fries that came with her sandwich which turned out to be very good but was charged an extra $5. The waiter insisted that was what the owner said it should be, yet if I had ordered regular fries with my burger, it would have been $4.25 or $5.25 extra for sweet potato. We didn't complain nor argue (although probably should have). Despite what I just wrote. It is a good brunch place, just don't order a hamburger and clarify any additional cost for substitutions. Other diners were clearly enjoying their dishes that looked very tasty, although a gentleman next to us indicated that his eggs were cold, but he had already come in with a scowl on his face and waited at least five or more minutes before eating his order. We also didn't get to sit by the water as several streets were flooded from the recent storm. Oh well, it was good to get out of the house.

My family has been coming to this outstanding restaurant for many, many years. In particular my 96 year old father and I have had a regular Friday lunch date at Jo Jo's. The service is always first rate and welcoming and the food is excellent. Just wanted to thank you and wish everyone associated with the restaurant a happy and healthy holiday season. Very satisfied customers.

Food was good. Service was terrible. Our server was slow and curt. She kept saying they were extremely busy to excuse bad service. Other staff were equally dismissive. We will not return.

Great little Cafe at point lookout. Was looking for a breakfast place on a lazy Saturday and this place was perfect. Good selection of foods, very tasty well balanced breakfast. Good coffe and water. Clean and low key. If I'd live in the area I would go anytime.

My friends from high school and I have been coming here once a year for the last ten years (minus two for the pandemic). We started coming here after a sand mishap at Jones Beach with our vegetarian friend’s lunch. This place has something for everyone and we’ve never had a bad experience. We normally get the lemonade because it tastes so good but this time I had a mango mimosa which was also very good. The hot wings were hot and tender. The staff is always so nice and the chef is an incredible baker. We went home with her brown sugar apple muffins yesterday and my friend and I texted each other this morning just to talk about how amazing they are, especially when warmed up! He lives up in Rochester and said “I don’t know what I’m going to do now that I can’t get another one”.

If you ever want to feel unwelcomed and ignored, this is a perfect place for you. We asked if we could just have drinks, they said fine. So we had drinks outside before dinner time. Wine was bad, service was even worse. Every table gets water before ordering food or drinks, nor for us. When we asked for water, they answered “you should let your waiter know.” Our waiter never looked at us for the entire time. So we never had water even after asking. When my friend went to pay and asked for a glass of water, the water come with a hair in it! ???
