Great food and atmosphere. Your spit for seafood needs. Along with the seafood would be a Shark bite ipa from.south shore craft brewery. This is a must go, especially during the spring / summer and being right on the water. Great spot after going to the beach or fishing.

My husband and I have been going to the Pt. Lookout Clam Bar for over 20 years and it’s our favorite place in the world to have a meal. It keeps getting better and better in terms of friendliness, atmosphere and hospitality. The food is always been amazing - you can rely on it. A++++++ infinity!

Delicious soft shell crab and fried fish. Love the outdoor setting. Perfect place to eat, drink and socialize on a warm weathered day. I recommend knowing what you want before you come as the lines can get pretty long when placing orders. I noticed too many people holding up the line just to decide what to order. Better to be prepared and keep it moving. Great place to bring the family.

Went on a Sunday evening for $1 Blue Point oysters and was blown away with the quality of the food. Oysters were the best quality I've had in a long time. Brine was still fully in the shell and not a single little chip of shell in 24 oysters. They know how to shuck! Also got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and garlic parmesan wings.....both very tasty. Place was super clear, well lit and the owner very friendly. Plan to make it a regular stop!

Really loved this place. Went around Christmas and though it was quiet it was a really lovely, clean place with fresh food, beautiful views, pleasant service and relaxing environment. Look forward to coming back. $1 oyster and shrimp happy hours can't be beat.

The view here is beautiful. My friend and I came for dinner in early fall so it wasn't that crowded. I ordered the crab cake sandwich was was delicious. The prices for things like seafood pasta were a little pricier which I was surprised. I would definitely come back and try one of their food specials one day which seems like more of a good bang for your buck.

One of our favorite seafood joints to visit in point lookout. Order at the counter and they will bring you the food. There's outdoor seating. A lot of boats dock here to grab lunch, snacks or a drink. There is a small beach area where lots of kids will play in the sand while parents eat and drink. It's the perfect vibe for lunch with a view.

I came here for my birthday because I really wanted a lobster roll and this place tonight as point. I will say that it is a little bit confusing because the buoy bar is connected with a ton of other outdoor seating options so it's a little bit weird when you first enter. The place is a serve yourself so you go to the register order your food grab a number and then they bring your food out to you but you have to get everything else yourself. I got a lobster roll and it was very tasty. Lots of lobster and it came with a side of fries. Obviously, this place is right on the water so it's a super nice view. The only reason why I'm getting at four stars is because when we first walked in, we didn't know where to go and no one was able to help us. We had to figure it out on her own.

Important: Make sure to have cash before going. You cannot tip with your card.Getting a table around 5pm for 9 people was much easier than expected. Parking can be somewhat of a nightmare, but that is just the most Point Lookout thing ever. Both outdoor and indoor seating is available. Knats got pretty knarly around dusk, so our group moved inside. It was pretty loud inside, but so would most places on a Saturday evening. The renovations inside are quite nice, and there is a nice gift shop inside too.Food selection was a little underwhelming, but the food itself was really good. Fried food is in a light breading which is very good.Drinks were also good. Had three different bartenders do Pina Coladas. One out of the three was lackluster, but otherwise were as refreshing as you can get.Overall a solid backup if the neighboring establishment is unable to host you and/or your group.

Would give this place zero stars if i could, awful establishment that's horribly managed and incredibly unorganized. Employees are completely clueless on what's happening here and waste your time while trying to overcharge you for the most mediocre food of all time. They lie on their menu and mislead you with the fact that they have "sushi." They don't have sushi. They have pre made packages of nasty rolls that have been sitting there for who knows how long and won't make anything to order even though they have a sushi menu. Guess how much it was? $27!!!! TWENTY SEVEN DOLLARS FOR A PRE MADE ROLL YOU DONT EVEN WANT. Genuinely insane behavior, i hope this place gets it together or shuts down but either way THIS PLACE IS A SCAM THAT WILL FRUSTRATE YOU TO NO END.

This is an interesting place. Fantastic location on the inlet, with a little dock and fish market adjacent. There's a little roped in beach for kiddos to wade in. Lots of 2-tops, and plenty of spots for viewing sunsets. There is a cafeteria-style ambience -- you find your own place to sit -- two bars and two food ordering windows (don't forget to grab your own utensils and napkins at the food window because there's nothing at the tables). There is a discount for using cash, and you are instructed to only tip in cash, not on your card (?!) Is somebody trying to avoid scrutiny of the books? Haha jk. But that is just one of the "something is off here" impressions we got. The fish market out front is good. Everything looked fresh, and considering the open access to the Atlantic from this spot, I am sure the local stuff is as fresh as it gets. They also sell pre-made sushi rolls here in the fish market, which were standard and fresh. The menu is mostly fried food. I would avoid the shrimp here, none of it was fresh and the shrimp cocktail was not jumbo... it seemed defrosted from a bag. The cocktail sauce itself also gave a vibe of previously frozen. Another strange thing was that the "mussels with garlic bread" were served either smothered in marinara sauce or "garlic white" sauce. Has nobody here ever heard of standard garlic, wine and butter? We were also very disappointed by the lack of a raw bar. Google & Yelp both said this place had one --- but there was no raw bar menu, and no oysters. The appetizer menu listed clams on the half shell, steamers and baked stuffed clams, but let's be straight here folks, no oysters = not a raw bar. However, the day's specials were really good!! The local sea bass was obviously the catch of the day, it was a generous serving size and only slightly overcooked. The soft shell crab had not been previously frozen... it was super fresh, lightly fried to perfection and delicious. The fish tacos were also good. Overall, this place is worth a visit for some drinks and a nice sunset view, and maybe try one of the daily seafood specials.
